    Wilton Reassurance company of ** bought the life insurance business from ********. This included my whole life family policy that I have had for nearly 50 years. I am now 67 years old and tried to surrender the policy for cash value. The cash value is minimal - just under $3,000 last they gave me the amount. This has been an ordeal over months at this point. First they said they needed the signature of the co-owner. There is no co-owner. I have been the only owner of this policy since inception. I have the original documentation of that and sent it to them. I thought that was resolved. Finally after several attempts, they said my request was in process. Supposedly it takes 5-7 days. It has been months - and over a month since last attempt. So I called, and now they tell me it is hung up researching the "ownership change." I should add that the person they listed as co-owner (my ex-husband ******* ******) was an additional insured (not owner) and died in 2017. I did not put in a claim for that because this was a family policy and spousal insurance expired at age 65. He was older. This company will not answer emails. Even their auto response mails are blank. When I call, I get a phone agent who has no authority to do anything to help.

    Wilton Re took my insurance policy over from ******** a few years back. No welcome packet. No email. No policy information. No "heads up" to inform me that I even have a new insurance provider. After playing detective to find out who, what, where my premiums were even going to, I found several phone numbers to call. One transfer to the next to the next. The standard "Please call back. Extremely high call volume" message continuously on loop. I finally got through by asking for a rep & supervisor at the voice prompts. I complained that there is no correspondence. No website to even login/ navigate through to see my policy & my current beneficiary is deceased. The woman advised that I "write a letter" to them explaining my concerns & perhaps somebody can get back to me. Cancelling policy & going with Navy Federal for a 20 year Term Life Thanks ***** * ** ******** **
