As a business owner, I've had problems with this bank from the very beginning. My most recent negative experience however, really takes the cake! I went into my local branch to make a deposit ( I had intended to deposit into one account, and asked the teller to then transfer funds to other accounts, a request that was met with push back. Apparently, though no other branch had ever requested it in the past, they cannot simply transfer between accounts and you must fill out a separate withdrawal form for each transfer.) I completed the forms only to be informed that four of my accounts had been closed, without ANY notification. No letter, no message, no call from the bank. After several minutes of deliberation with the manager, I found out it was due to inactivity (but still, they couldn't have given a heads up?) While I recognize that not meeting the parameters of these accounts does fall within my own responsibility, I think that information should have been passed on when I opened the accounts. Unfortunately, I was not made aware that I needed to make a minimum of five transactions per month per account, or that I needed to keep a balance to keep them active. This was not communicated verbally when signing the disclosures, nor was I given a copy of the policies at that time. Circling back to my closed accounts; I requested that they be reopened, and was told I'd receive a call when they were ready, and that I could come back and sign for them. I did in fact receive a call a short time later, not saying that the paperwork was ready but to discourage me to reopen the accounts. While on the phone, they "advised" me to purchase quick books for my business so that I could set up buckets instead of opening multiple accounts through the bank. When I insisted on reopening the accounts, she made me promise to keep up with them because, I quote, "It's a waste of the tellers time to prepare all that paperwork and costs the bank money just to close them a few months later.
