On June 1, 2022 we hired Waters Family to design a website. They wanted $800 to build the website with 30 days of free hosting and to make any changes to the site during that time after it was released. We only wanted to give them half the money down, $400 but they insisted on $600. We unfortunately have no contract, they were recommended by a business associate who had just met them. Was told it would take 8 days, after more than 3 months of them not listening, when they would respond, to what we wanted on our site the changes were never what we asked, they transferred our old website, which we did not like, to a new layout and tried to pass that off as adequate. They do not know how to communicate, if at all, they do not listen to direction, do not speak in a legible professional way, they work with unsecure hosting that caused the site to be hacked and lost, which required another round of trying to futilely communicate with them. Our site still isn't what we wanted, it's not secure with a warning for customers to not trust it on the URL, they never answer the phone or return messages. It's supposedly been "released" but we cannot access the new website to make any changes ourselves like add our online store or make it the way we actually want it.
