      On February 19th, I purchased 6 batteries from Battery Junction. On February 24th, I received the package and put the batteries in service. On March 30th I contacted the company advising them that the batteries would not hold much of a charge and asked for a replacement or refund. On March 31st, the company advised that the warranty expired after 15 days and that no replacement or refund would be made. How in the world is a person to know if a battery will hold up in 15 days?

      Customer did purchase 6 of the ***** unprotected lithium batteries on 2/19/2023 and the batteries were delivered on 2/24/2023. On 3/31/2023, Customer asked to return the batteries after using them for more than 30 days in a vape box. We have a 30 day warranty policy on our website, see copy below. The customer contacted us after the 30 day time frame and did not meet qualifications to return the product for a refund. If the customer believed the batteries to be defective he can reach out to the manufacturer after 30 days to determine if the batteries would be covered under the manufacturer's warranty. 

       

      RETURNS: If an item does not meet with your satisfaction for any reason, you are welcome to return it. You must obtain an RMA. You must notify us of your desire to return your purchase within 7 days and it must be returned within 15 days of issuance of an RMA. Returned items must be the same item in the same condition as originally shipped. Returns should be shipped insured. Refunds are for the final purchase price only, less a 15% restocking fee. Shipping costs, insurance, and handling charges (if any) are non-refundable. Special orders are not returnable. A credit will be issued as soon as we receive and process your return. Please allow up to two billing cycles for a refund to appear on your credit card statement. If the item you have ordered is defective, contact us within the seller warranty period of 30 days and we will replace the defective item for you with an item of equal or greater functionality. Outside of 30 days only manufacturers warranties (if any) apply. We do not pay for return shipping but will pay shipping on the replacement item for domestic orders. International buyers pay shipping both ways. If you return for a refund any items that were originally delivered to you under the terms of a free standard shipping offer then we will deduct from your refund our fee for Ground delivery. Returns sent postage/freight collect will be refused. Once issued, RMA numbers are valid for 15 days. Battery Junction must receive the returned products within this timeframe. RMA numbers will not be extended or reissued.
      Customer should prominently display the RMA number(s) on the shipping label of boxes containing the returned product.

      I am rejecting this response because: The battery capacity decreased rapidly during the 4th week.  Battery Junction was contacted as soon as possible and about 35 days after purchase.  No return / adjustment was offered.

      We understand that Mr. ***** does not want to accept our 30 day warranty as noted on our website; however, this is the policy and while we make exceptions in many cases, we cannot take back a lithium battery that has been used in a vape for 30+ days. If he would like to return the batteries via ground mail, we would be happy to test the batteries for him.
