I am writing to address a matter of utmost importance concerning the puppy we purchased from Ryheart Retrievers on August 18th, 2023 for $3,500. Our intention is to bring to your attention certain health issues that have arisen post-purchase. Upon acquiring the puppy, we promptly sought the guidance of veterinary professionals. Unfortunately, it was revealed that the puppy required immediate surgery due to a genetic problem, incurring costs amounting to $1326.22. Seeking confirmation, we sought second and third opinions, all of which concurred with the initial diagnosis. Subsequently, an additional surgery was deemed necessary, resulting in a further expense of $2,357.50. Further diagnostic procedures, including X-rays, were prescribed by the veterinarian, with associated costs totaling $575.00. Regrettably, when we approached the breeder with these health concerns and the financial burden incurred, we encountered a lack of support and understanding. Despite our attempts to communicate the gravity of the situation, we have been met with indifference and unresponsiveness on the breeders part. We are deeply disappointed that the breeder, whom we believed to be reputable, has not demonstrated a commitment to addressing these issues or standing behind the well-being of the animals she provides. It is our sincere hope that this matter can be resolved amicably and with a sense of urgency. We kindly request your prompt attention and engagement to discuss a resolution that ensures the welfare of the puppy and addresses the financial implications we have faced.
