Not sure why I have to leave a star but this company doesn’t deserve any stars. Maybe handcuffs. George Kinney and Tammy, his secretary are scammers. They talk a good talk but have no plans on keeping their promise on the contract. October 2021 we signed a contract with them to do our flat roof. The rubber material was delivered and I was hopeful. George called and said the whirlybirds have come in and he would have to get a boom out to the house to put the rubber on the roof. Waiting, waiting, waiting no boom or word from either George or Tammy. I texted Tammy and she gave me some more BS. Tried to call George but what person with a company has a full message box. They do cause they are scammers, fraud. They will steal your money and not feel bad about it. I’m sure they have been doing this kind of thing for many years. We are out 3,000.00 and no plans on taking them to court cause they will not show up. More of my time and money wasted. They need to get their contractors license removed and be held accountable for their actions.

An install from hell. Permits not pulled despite my asking twice before project started and being told by Mr. Kinney they weren’t needed. I had to convince Town Building Inspector not to shut the job down while trying to get Mr. Kinney to supply needed paperwork to town. The electric box and supply pole were pulled from the house with no licensed electrician and tied with straps to a tree the entire time. Mr. Kinney told me he never needed an licensed electrician to do this before and I needed to get myself an electrician. Materials stated in signed contract were not provided, materials used were misrepresented and improperly installed. Mr. Kinney refused to accept any responsibility despite documentation. I spent my Christmas holidays, with my home unfinished, in Civil Court proceedings in which Mr. Kinney refused to even respond. After a Court finding in my favor as well as being awarded $3,600 in additional damages Mr. Kinney has still not responded or shown intent to honor the Court Judgment to this date. Please don’t do this to yourself, this individual is totally unprofessional and should have his license revoked.

I signed a contract in early April, 2021 for Eastern CT Roofing Co. to do a relatively small siding job. The work started shortly thereafter and was completed except for about two square feet at the peak of the house. It was a Friday and the employee asked for the balance of payment as the owner was unable to meet payroll for the week and the employee promised he would finish the job on the next day, Saturday. Unfortunately, I made the final payment concerned people wouldn't get paid and the small amount of work to finish would be completed the next day, that being mid-April. After many emails and telephone calls and numerous promises by Eastern CT Roofing Co. to finish tomorrow or we'll be out soon or I'll get to George with a date - all lies. After six (6) months of hearing empty promises I hired a second contractor to finish the work - he completed the work in one and a half hours (1-1/2). I could not possibly recommend Eastern CT Roofing Co. for any type work. If possible I would give Eastern CT Roofing Co. zero stars.

George, the owner of this company should have his contractor license revoked as this company is by far the worst I've ever dealt with. After taking TBD deposit, they consistently lied about coming out week after week and left my siding a complete mess. I ended up getting fined over $20k by the inspector because of this company's shoddy work. Do not ever use this company, you'll regret it.
