I had a contract with the business to replace a roof. I specified that I didn't want a sub-contractor doing the work. They did send a subcontractor and I held them up from starting the job until the office manager called and said they are really good. I took their word for it. After many problems and calling the office, the subcontractor came back 4 times to fix problems. 1 of them, they said they used wrong nails. After insisting and calling many times, they kept sending the same person to look at the problems.(Ricky) He would take pictures and go back. The last time Ricky said they will be here the next day to make the repairs. They brought shingles and nails that are still sitting in my driveway 2.5 month later. They didn't show up and no communication. Then I get a call from an insurance adjuster wanting to come to check the claim that Unlimited filed with their insurance. He came and checked the roof with drones, etc. after 3-4 weeks I called the unlimited and they said the adjuster should not have called and come. They call the insurance company again. They send another adjuster and their report was available to the insurance company but they couldn't share with me as Unlimited Roofing files the claim and not me. I called the office and Chris(Owner) called me back and said let me check on it and I'll get back to you. That is their continued response. I'll check and get back to you and no news. still waiting. I will most likely hiring someone else to inspect and replace the roof and file a lawsuit against them in addition to the roof and damage to gutters, siding and gutter screens that they damaged. warning to other customers, stay away from them. Another one of their customers warned me, make sure they don't send sub-contractors because they are bad and I fell for it. Obviously by filing a claim with their insurance, they are admitting wrong doing.Business response

We were first called and noticed a few things that needed to be adjusted. We took care of it. The owner called a few more times. We called the insurance company of the subcontractor. The adjuster showed up and passed the roof.
We have not heard anything since. In the interim the manager that was handling this case is no longer employed by Unlimited Roofing & Restoration. We have been unable to locate the documentation and are still hoping to find the paperwork.

I signed a quote and paid a 50% deposit with Unlimited Roofing. They were to replace 8-10 missing shingles and replace lead flashing on my chimney. They came out on 04/18/2022 and put the wrong color shingles on. I knew there would be a color difference, but my current/original shingles are black. Unlimited put on light gray shingles. I questioned the owner on this and he said he found old shingles in his garage that he used. Unlimited also tarred the bottom of my chimney, which I paid for new lead flashing. I finally had to go through my insurance company, who told me my roof was now damaged and Unlimited was not to come out to fix my roof. I had to pay my insurance company another $1,000(deductible) to fix the damage done by Unlimited. Unlimited left me a voicemail on 05/24/2022 about returning my refund and it would be sent out in a couple days. I still have not received my refund. I've called numerous times, owner does not call me back, I am told they are not around.Business response

The homeowner was aware of the color difference as this shingle is not a common shingle and we let her know that we had a similar type of shingle in stock in our shop. As far as the tar on the chimney, it was a misunderstanding on the part of our worker and we requested to go back to the jobsite and install the flashing as previously agreed. The homeowner refused to let us back on site to install the flashing as discussed . We also offered to find a darker shingle and reinstall same, the customer refused to let us back on site. The owner wanted to fix the problems in lieu of the refund, again the customer refused to comply.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I was told numerous times by Unlimited Roofing I would receive a full refund for my deposit. I have a voicemail from Unlimited Roofing stating this as well. I also made it very clear to Unlimited Roofing about my insurance companies' response and decision moving forward, hence their decision of a full refund. After the completion of Unlimited Roofing's repairs, my insurance company inspected my roof thoroughly and informed me more damage was done. I was also informed by my insurance to get quotes from different roofing companies to repair the shingles and chimney and to not use Unlimited Roofing.

We would like to see the report from the insurance company adjuster, stating not to use Unlimited Roofing and outlining the purported additional damage done
You demanded the return of your deposit, but the owner of the company pleaded to rectify the situation for you to assure your satisfaction. We admitted the mishap and it is our #1 company policy to insure satisfaction on every job, which we tried to accomplish but you refused to let us back on your property
