Contract with Mark 4/7/22 was waiting on fence job to be finished so the paving was done 5/18/22. I spoke to Mark regarding the pitch of the driveway, an area at the end of driveway I was concerned about because the neighbors fence is there and also made sure to tell him to make sure they didn't touch my fence that was just installed 5/13/22. He told me not to worry and assured me the family business has been around for years and the guys were well experienced. We payed them $6,350 for the job via check. On May 29 it rained and I contacted Mark via text to inform him that the water was pooling at the top of the fence because they put the asphalt right up against my privacy fence. So it no longer had the spacing that was left under it. Plus there was a hole that was getting bigger and bigger. I sent him pictures and he told me there is nothing they can do about the puddling because they didn't prepare the base, they could only follow the existing driveway. He told me he would come that week. I asked him to let me know when he arrived. No call, no show. 6/6/22 my husband called the office and spoke to a young lady regarding the matter, she apologized and told him they would have Mark take care of it and call him. Still nothing from Mark. 6/7/22 I texted Mark's cell because he wasn't answering our calls. He texted back that he is trying his hardest to get to me. Had sinus infection & 2 uncles passed away but would come this week. I waited for him to call when he arrived. No call, no show. But then 6/10/22 I noticed fresh ashalt on my privacy fence where the hole was. Apparently Mark or someone he sent snuck in our backyard and hastily filled the hole. Right up to the fence as if I never spoke to him about it. My husband called him 6/11 & 6/12/22 to discuss the problem but still no answer. It's apparent that Mark has no intention of fixing the problem he created. We didn't have any problem until they paved our yard.
