  I hired Jeff G**** of ** **** ********/G Forestry to do a significant amount of tree work starting in December of 2021. The original quote said this would take two weeks, with stumping to be completed at the beginning of 2022. He and a couple guys worked for maybe 4 days of total work time, with constant excused why they couldnt work or why is was taking so long. I gave 50% of the money up front for the total 13k job. He then asked for more money two days after starting, and continued to ask for more money until the entire job was paid in full, and left the job site in March of 2022 and has not returned. I have had weekly texts with him since that time with every excuse in the book, even up to last week where he still promises to complete the job. At this point I have had to hire more people to finish the job and had rented equipment myself to do much of it as well. At this point I would be happy to get half my money back and I know he doesnt have any money reportedly so small claims court will only cost me time and money. I have been told he has done this to many other people as well. I have text messaged going back over a year to back up everything as well as pictures, etc. I have a receipt for the original bill and 50% payment however all other payments were made in cash and he never updated our receipt.

  Jeff G**** took a $3500 deposit and never did the work. We had a clear simple contract signed and no modifications were requested. It is 4 months past the completion date and the contractor refuses to do work or refund deposit. He also changes his company name and is current working as ** **** ********.

  Had the guy jeff g**** come out on feb 8th 2022 He sent me an invoice for the cutting down of the trees which was 2802.80 Originally I only needed one tree done then when he started he said i needed the other one cut as it was rotted and it would be 5000 for the both of them I said ok and paid him partial he wanted everything in cash tho. Feb 17th they started cutting it down Then a hole was put in my roof which he didnt tell us about. We went into our attic and saw the hole. Thankfully caught it fast enough to be patched. Then a few days later he parked his truck on the lawn and was cutting the trees and broke the well cap and the top of our fence again not saying anything to us we found it again. At this point i was very upset. That was on February 28th. He left his truck never finished cutting down the trees and We tried calling and texting as on February 25th he had asked me to pay in full in cash or *****. He never anwser we had a truck in our yard that was dangerous for our kids to play in and now it was a big mud puddle. He said he would come back. We had solar panels setup as well as things we wanted to do. He also had crushed our driveway into shards. He came and only took his truck after saying he would finish the job on march 28 2022. He again made excuses its too cold or to wet to do it. Ive been constantly trying to contact him to finish the job i paid for to be done. All that im left with is a mud puddle backyard, a broken fence, broken well cap, a crushed driveway and trees that are still up. Please help us.
