In August 2023, BBB contacted All Sleep regarding claims in its advertising.

Its website includes several lowest price claims, such as "Guaranteed lowest prices and unparalleled service are part of that legacy," "We have Eastern Connecticut's largest mattress selection and the best prices," and "...the lowest prices to our community."  According to the BBB Code of Advertising, such claims can be tested and proven true or false. However, because it is impossible to keep a constant and up-to-date tally of all product prices from all competitors, businesses can lessen the potential for consumer confusion by discontinuing these types of claims. BBB suggested a change of wording to “Will meet or beat a lower price” with any material conditions which apply including, what evidence a consumer must present to take advantage of the offer. To date, the business has not made adjustments to its claims.

The statements noted above also include "..Eastern Connecticut's largest mattress selection.." claims.  Superlative statements in advertisements about the tangible qualities and performance values of a product or service are objective claims for which the advertiser must possess substantiation as they can be based upon accepted standards or tests. As statements of fact, such claims, like “largest selection” can be proved or disproved.  BBB requested that the business provide substantiation for this claim or consider modifying it. To date, this claim has not been modified or substantiated.
