            An associate of J.S. Paving come knocking on my door telling me he was at my neighbor's house installing a driveway and wanted to know if I wanted my driveway done since they were in the area. He told me it would cost $3600 to do a 2" topcoat over my existing driveway or $5500 to get a new driveway. Since my driveway was 40 Years and in bad shape, I said yes to the topcoat for $3600. I asked for a contract, and he said they did not require any money up front so I would get the paperwork when the job was done. With the driveway done I was going to pay them, and he said the cost was $5500. I told him about the $3600 cost I was quoted, and he said his worker gave me the wrong prices. He then said a seal coating could be added for a total cost of $6500. I kept telling him I was quoted $3600. He said the best he could do was $5500 and the seal coat free. I feel I was scammed out of my money. I should have insisted on a contract and that was my mistake. They also dug up my lawn and never fixed it. After they left the porch and surrounding area was a mess. I am not saying this was scam, but it sure felt like one.
