      I received what i thought was a fabulous razor around Christmas as a gift. it doesn't work well, though. The blades don't work and it doesn't stay closed I contacted the company and they want me to pay to send the razor back to have it cleaned? I clean it all the time. And sending it there is 20 dollars. THey have a warranty and i sent a photo so why can't i just get an exchange. I am going to buy another brand but wanted to make a formal complaint isnce they missed a chance to have a long term customer.

      The customer contacted our customer support team on 5/18/24.  They reported that a razor they received as a gift had developed a mechanical failure.  The customer was not the original purchaser so they had no proof of purchase.  We offer a limited life time warranty on our razors but the terms require proof of purchase.  Without proof of purchase we offered the customer two options.  1, A one-time repair exception. You would ship your razor to our headquarters in Connecticut. We'll give it a full inspection, repair & cleaning and then ship it back to you. Or 2, A 30% discount code for a new razor.

      The customer asked for clarification on shipping charges on option 1.  We explained that they are responsible for paying for shipping the razor to us and we would pay for shipping the repaired razor back to them.

      The customer did not want to take advantage of either option.

      I am rejecting this response because:

       

      I just want my complaint to stick here so others can read. It.   I am

      not paying to send back a razor that doesn’t work doesn’t hold the blades and ends up cutting me.  I would take a replacement but they refuse. 

      in the meantime I am using another brand. 

      what a waste.  Who has a receipt for a gift?
