On November 17, 2023, Terry from Eliminate Em came to our home regarding a rodent issue. She identified a possible entry point from the outside to the inside of our house. Her plan was to place baits to reduce the rodents, then seal the entry point to stop them from getting into the house. She charged $422.12 for this visit. She returned on December 1, January 3, and February 2 to rebait our home, charging us $227.05 each time, totaling $1,103.27. We continued to trap mice in our home. When I tried clarifying the endpoint regarding replacing the bait, Terry said there wasn't one and it could take over a year. I told her I was not comfortable spending 1000s of dollars without an endpoint. She agreed to return without a service charge, inspect the baits and seal the entry point(s) at a charge of $20-40 depending on the number of entries as long we assumed responsibility for any dead rodents we might wind up having in our home. This was scheduled for April 26, 2024 between 9 and 10 AM. I adjusted my work schedule to be home during this time. Terry never showed up. When I called her, she said she was out on leave and to contact her replacement, who never answered his phone. I contacted the company to complain and the issue was escalated to the owner, Kenny. He said that they were short-staffed and all he could do was rebait at no charge but that would have to be scheduled on another date. When I brought up that Terry had planned to seal the entry point(s), he began yelling at me and stating that they never do that, and there were no notes about that. I asked him to completely terminate our service since he refused to follow through on what Terry had promised to do. As a result, we spent over $1100 dollars without resolution of our issue and the entrypoint(s) remain open. Clearly, all this company cares about is making money at the expense of its customers without resolving their issues. They are unethical and disrespectful and should not be in business.Business response
