I hired Mark from Right Construction Handlyman LLC to do carpentry and GC work for my new bathroom. I used my own electrician and plumber and Painter. He was hired for carpentry, however, he talked me into having him do the tiling vs. my tile guy, because "he is great at tile work and enjoys it". Mark completely did not know what he was doing for bathroom tile, within ten days of using the new tiled shower, it leaked and destroyed downstairs. He used ****** *** ******** method (which I know now, due to this horrible experience). I pulled up tile, still wet, he did not seal the floor basin -water literally leaked into the ceiling downstairs within days, he tried to blame the plumber. I found grout in the pipe and learned subcontractors that he did not cover the drain when grouting (we were away when this job was completed). Tile on Bathroom floor, within two weeks this grout was also breaking. Other subcontractors told me information about other errors by Mark (with videos) and shared them with me of things he did incorrectly, (threshold for shower put in backwards, they told him to fix and he did not, he broke through my ceiling downstairs and never told me and had my painter fix it, fortunately my painter told me. Mark mis-measured-height of the doorknob on new door, ordered more tile and charged me for his mis-measurement and one wall of tile he "messed up" so costed me an extra 1800. Subcontractors told me he did not even try to save the tiles for re-use. THE WORST part, his insurance would only cover the damage to the downstairs bathroom (for less than 3k), however, not for his incompetence. The insurance stated he should re-do the work at his own cost, but WHY would I have him re-do the job when he had no clue what he was doing the first time with tiles, to have it happen again?? this cost me an extra 16k to fix and only received 2266 from his insurance. I WOULD NEVER USE THIS person again. I have never experienced this level of incompetency.

I have been in the construction business for 40 years and provide quality work. On the rare occasion an issue arises I stand behind my work and make it right. When *** ****** contacted me that there was an issue via text I immediately called her and asked to come on sight to resolve the issue. She would not allow me to come onsite. I then immediately opened a claim with my insurance company to protect both myself and *** ****** to get to the bottom of the issue. Before the adjuster was even scheduled to get out and review the problem *** ****** had the bathroom completely demolished. I am sorry that *** ****** did not have a positive experience.
