  Today 4/18/2022 around 1p.m. While riding my bicycle westbound on *** ******* *** just past the ********** Police Department. a Local Choice Landscaping truck passed me on the left and grazed my left arm. Luckily I was able to maintain control of my bicycle and continued on my route.A second Local Choice Landscaping truck passed coming close but not making physical contact with me. When I arrived at the intersection of *** ******* *** and ********** *** I exited the road onto the sidewalk and leaned my bicycle against a railing and called the telephone number displayed on the second truck which had stopped for a red traffic light. I explained what had happened to the agent who answered the phone and that the driver had not complied with the 3 foot law thus making contact with my body and endangering my life. I told him I was going to file a complaint with the ********** Police Department.

  I am more than happy to talk with this person and hear her concerns. I will happily address any issues if there are any with my staff. I am extremely unhappy however that she chose to go this route rather than address the issue directly. She did call our office and explained what happened to my office manager but did not give her name, location of the incident or any callback information, making it impossible for me to follow-up in any way.

  I am rejecting this response. the owner of the company called me about 5 minutes ago.

  He said when I called yesterday that I hadn't given sufficient information to the person who answered the phone to be able to contact me. I clearly stated my name at the very beginning of my call and that I live at ****** **** ************* where I have seen the company's trucks many times. With my name and caller i.d. he would have had sufficient information to contact me IF he'd listened and written it down.

  I DID give my name and all the details of the incident to that person. After repeatedly stating that the company's drivers are usually very careful drivers but not accepting any responsibility for the action of the driver causing potentially lethal harm to me, I stated that I was hanging up and intended to call the ********** Police Department.

  It's irresponsible and illegal for drivers to NOT allow a bicyclist 3 feet when passing, I explained.
