      Very poor service and wait times that usually exceed 30 minutes. Unreasonable copays. Wish my family had an option. Avoid at all costs.

      I'd give zero stars if I could. Abysmal customer service, every copay was incorrect, horrific claims services, and an experience that was so bad in only 6 months of membership that the stress made me ill. I researched and then escalated my issues to the CEO's office and finally got someone who could at least speak english, not drop a call, and get information. (Mind you, the outcome was not desirable, but at least it was handled. Thing is, a patient should not have to contact the company CEO to get issues resolved.) If you have a choice, by all means, choose the other option. Dealing with this company was a nightmare.

      I got $50 health rewards gift card from Anthem last March, and I have not used it yet and I want to use it today (August), but I was not able to. They told me that I lost my reward. The expiration on the card was not even expired. They told me to contact this and this to discuss about rewards. I was getting no where with Anthem. The health reward was a joke!

      Anthem uses a vendor ***** ****** *** ** ***** ****** and every 90 day cpap mask resupply I’m without a mask for 2weeks (and sleep). It’s impossible to get any help whatsoever from either company and yet the costs keep rising

      Absolutely deplorable customer service. The agents don’t know what they are talking about and just transfer to other agents when they don’t want to deal with customers. After being on hold for an hour and a half the agent pretended not to hear me and hung up. It’s been 3 months of them refusing to process claims that are clearly covered in my policy. 500 dollars a month to deal with their BS. I’d rather not be covered then have to talk to these imbeciles.

      Blue Cross Blue Shield told us that coordination of benefits had been resolved, but when the hospital went to bill them, they denied the claim due to coordination of benefits not being resolved. This happened 4 times. Each time they wanted a month to month and a half to resolve the issue. This has stretched out over the course of a year and just sent the bill to collections. Blue Cross Blue Shield has not been helpful in resolving our issue. They have lied to us over the phone. If you have the option of going with someone else, do it!
