We started a 3 year service agreement 8/1/2019 at $80/mo. As of the 8/1/2021 bill we received a sizeable increase which we contested but it resulted in another 3-year service agreement established in 11/1/2021 at $85.50/mo. That started more price increases to $ 96.50 then a couple of months later there was a letter announcing another increase to $101 in late 2022 for fuel and service charges. This year an unannounced increase to $116 was an embedded sentence on the bill for 9/1/2023. We contested the bill and gave 30 days’ notice 10/30/2023 to end our service agreement and look for another company. An email and phone call from the sales rep 'they would do what it takes to keep us as customers' if we sent them the quote of the other company'. We asked them how much they would reduce the charges. This dance went on for over a month. After getting a company closer to our place of business, with a better price, I sent the quote to the sales rep. The final quote I received from USA was $85.50, and another 3-year service agreement. His offer was $24.50 above the quote of the new company, so I indicated our Board could not accept. We are now being threatened with a lawsuit for early termination of a service agreement, demanding we pay for the remaining months of the service agreement. Their increases are far above the normal yearly waste industry percentage of increase of 3-6%. They stated they would not remove their dumpster until we pay the amount due for early termination. I told them we would charge a $50 rental charge for their dumpster if they continue to leave it on our property without permission. They removed their dumpster but continue with the mailing of bills. We stand to save $630 in waste removal charges this year which is a lot of money for a small non-profit organization. As of 12/1/2023 we paid all bills for the services rendered, yet we are continuing to receive bills for months for services not rendered via cancellation of service

      Good Morning,

USA Waste and Recycling had an agreement with ****** ************ ********  We have had increases over the years due to disposal cost and ***.  We try to work with each customer but there are times where we can not be as low as another hauler.  The agreement in place has an early termination fee if the customer would like to leave and go with another hauler prior to the end of the agreement.  USA does everything possible within reason to retain a customer but in this case we were not able to come to an agreement and the customer closed out the account and had the can removed.  My understanding is that they signed up with Waste Management and their terms on their agreements also have this have a similar fee.

      Thank you for your time

My trash was not taken due to an error or problem on their part. It was already a week that had a holiday delay. I called every day and was lied to. They told me a truck would be coming out to swap out the full garbage bin with an empty one and it never happened. This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. They have increased prices multiple times in the past year and the quality of service has gone way down.

I contacted and spoke to Mr. ********* on 9/11/23. We resolved.

I became a curbside pickup customer in 2020 and paid my full yearly cost of $300 up front on January 14, 2020. In 2021 the yearly cost increased to $336. I agreed to the increase and again paid in full on January 21, 2021. Just prior to the 2022 year, I received a letter stating the price would again increase to approximately $400. The proposed increase was ridiculous and I did not agree to continue as a customer. I called and cancelled my service. I obtained a dump permit and took all of my trash to the dump. I did not utilize USA Hauling & Recycling services AT ALL in 2022. The company is now wrongfully attempting to collect $242.71 from me for services that I neither received not agreed to.

We ordered a dumpster for my husbands elderly parents who were just put in a home. We were told we could have it for a certain amount of time at $500. We paid the $500 upfront using a credit card. Neighbors later told us it wasn’t picked up until almost a month later. I called to find out what happened and they said our brother in law (who we don’t get along with) called and asked for extra time. I asked the woman why it was allowed. He didn’t even pretend to be us. He used his own name when calling back. I asked why someone would be allowed to call and ask for an extension and gave the woman his phone number. Someone called me back weeks later saying it needed to be paid. I said they were supposed to bill the brother in law. My husband called and they told him “Walter” would call back to discuss it. Instead of Walter ever calling us, we received a notice saying the bill has been transferred to a collection agency. I called the company and spoke to someone different who gave me a completely different story than the previous woman we talked to. Now they wouldn’t admit that they have a record showing that the brother in law called. I’m incredibly upset and the worst part is that they still won’t call back so I ended up paying the bill but I want everyone to know this company is not trustworthy and doesn’t care about customers. We spent 500 for the dumpster and I’m not disputing that amount. It’s the additional 150 they wanted us to pay that I think we should have refunded.

I had previously called them and hadn’t heard back but, they called back and fixed the situation quickly and politely.

Business continues to demand payment and threaten to cancel services even though proof of payment has been provided. No explanation has been given as to why the provided proof is not sufficient.

The balance due was a carry over from a recently acquired company. To date the owner of that company could not find the payment from Mr. *********.  We trust this was a posting error on the other companies behalf and have credited Mr. ********* the prior balance in question. Thank you.
