  Between September and October of 2021 I invested $32,000 with this company with the promise of a return based on the sale of the properties that were renovated and sold, the company has returned to me $29,000 so far but I have been chasing them down for 2 years now, I keep getting ignored when I try to reach out the owner and his son, I do have 2 contracts with this company that state what I invested with them, the owner promised me $20,000 profit through text and I have the proof. every time I am able to get a hold of the owner he just gives me the run around that the next day I will get my money back. please help me recoup my money.

  I am waiting on further payment from the business, he reached out to me and wrote that on the 7th of October he was going to pay me part of the $22,000 that was supposed to be my gains from the investment.   Attached is a phone screenshot of him stating that the 7th I will get a part of it.

  I am rejecting this response because:

  The business agreed to pay me the $22,000 gain from my investment, per the attached screenshots you can see he agrees to pay me and stated that the 7th of October he was going to pay me a part of that money.  Today is the 7th and I did not receive any money and when I tried to reach out to them the ignored me. I also have a recording that he made stating that he was going to pay me and that he is a man of his word and that “22 dollars was not going to make him fold”.  I have it in a message that he sent to me.  Not sure what games they are playing with telling you and me that they are resolving the issue but nothing is being done.  I just want to make things right, I think I was taken advantage of.

  The contractor has not provided evidence of proper permits filed with the City of *********** **. The contractor Guilin Construction LLC., Angel S******* was paid 50 % initial payment sent via wire transfer as requested $48,900 in Good Faith, On 13th July 2023. I contracted him for renovations at Two properties in the City of *********** to perform work of various such as: to include but not limited to, sheet rock the entire properties basement, install cabinets, replace the sink, and install and paint interior and exterior. Angel, owner of Guilin Construction, did not respond to multiple calls for status updates and was out of the country. When he returned ** *** ****** ******, I made contact with him on he agreed to inspect and provide updates all non-finished work. He has provided vaguely but has not personally inspected nor provided tangible and concrete descriptions of work performed nor permits submitted to the City of ***********. The date of this writing is Sunday, August 13, 2023. I have not received a phone call or any correspondence from Guilin Construction since our last conversation with Angel S******* on Friday August 4th where he assured that everything was ok for his work group to initiate demolition at Greene Street that Saturday. On this date, no demo! Has initiated, and no permits are in place? I attempted to contact with Manager Gisselle Romero but to no avail, John answered and provided some disconcerting and confusing and conflicting information of that of initially provided by Mr. S******* of Guilin Construction. Please provide tangible and credible information regarding the work that’s being executed at the properties of Greene Street and Orange Street both on *********** *************.   Mr. ***** hired Guilin Construction, LLC on July 13, 2023 to repair and remodel two houses in addition to gutting one of the two properties  he owns in ***********, **.  Upon conducting a walk through of the properties to review the scope of work needing to be completed.  He was quoted 50,468.75. Mr. ***** agreed to the amount quoted and made an initial deposit of 24,437.50 as indicated by his attorney. 

  What Attorney ********* failed to state is that his clients hired outside contractors that were not appropriately licensed and did not obtain permits and were cited by the City of *********** for multiple building violations,  At which point, his client hired our office.    Upon receipt of the deposit, we started the work on the project.  Shortly after, the client stated that he wanted to work done faster than it could be done  because the permits we applied for were being reviewed by the city.  While those permits were being reviewed we continued to do work that did not require city permits. 

  Some of the work that completed by us was the painting of the exterior of two properties and the interior of an entire apartment, installed flooring, and completely gutting a property.  The work that we completed totaled $22,500.00.  As we have stated to Mr. *****, we are happy to refund the 1,937.50 he paid to our office.    

  Furthermore, Atty. *********'s threat of contacting the police department to attempt to turn a civil matter into a criminal matter is irresponsible, fraudulent and frankly troubling,

  The contractor did not finish the work he was paid to do. I contracted him to sheet rock the entire basement, install cabinets, replace the sink, and install and paint the baseboards for the sheetrock they installed. Angel, owner of Guilin Construction, did not respond to multiple calls for status updates and was out of the country. When he returned to the United States I made contact with him on 07/20/21 he agreed to inspect and restore all non-finished work. The date of this writing is Sunday, July 25, 2021. I have not received a phone call or any correspondence from Guilin Construction since our last conversation. The price for the renovation was $8600.00 USD which was received from Guilin Construction.
