He took full payment for a chimney cleaning and only cleaned 3 feet of a 21 foot chimney, ripped out the mortar and told me my chimney has no liner. He didn't reply to my email. He ripped off a single mother and didn't do the full job. I offered to pay for the inspection. He lied on his reply to my review. I don’t want my review posted. Please remove it. He did just Mail my check back. I don’t know if it was electronically deposited first. He did clean only 3 feet of the fireplace, but scraped off the mortar that lined it along with the soot in that section only, causing further damage to my fireplace. If he knew it was in bad shape, he should have just left and not tried to get money for a cleaning, causing more damage then give a verbal quote of $5000.00 to repair the damage. Now it costs me more to repair because it is damaged more. That is way I am upset with this man running this business from his house in my neighborhood. That is not a professional thing to do to anyone.

On Wednesday 1/26/2022 I was scheduled to do a chimney cleaning and inspection for **** ******* at 22 ****** **** ********* **. I did the inspection and cleaning and told Mary at the time of the service that her chimney was unlined and in badly deteriorated condition. I spent approximately 30 minutes after the cleaning and inspection were completed to discuss with Mary some options for repairs. At the time I was there, she was very interested in getting a quote for a woodstove and chimney liner installation. I told her when she found a woodstove, to let me know and I could do a quote for the installation. When I was there she watched me perform the chimney cleaning and inspection. She was there when i pushed 21' of chimney rods and brush up the chimney to the top, completely sweeping the chimney. Before I began the chimney sweeping I told her the chimney was unlined and in poor condition, and I asked her if she wanted me to continue to move forward with sweeping the unlined flue, and that if I swept the flue, it still would not be safe to use the fireplace.. She said yes, go ahead and sweep the flue. I took a couple of photos of the lower part of the flue to show her the badly deteriorated interior of the fireplace flue. When I was done she paid me and thanked me for coming out to do the service and said she would be in touch about doing a woodstove installation. On Sunday 1/30/2022 I received an email from Mary saying I didn't clean her chimney, I took money from a single mother, and that I caused the damage to the interior of the chimney. After exchanging a couple of emails with her, I decided to not deal with her anymore and I mailed her check back to her. Everything she said about the service I provided is a lie. She received a full refund. Sean Cl**** Owner/ Operator/ Sean Clark Chimney Services LLC
