On March 16th 2024, I went to the dealership to purchase a used truck. I brought it back within a few days with concerns about the wellbeing of the truck which includes but is not limited to transmission problems, oil leaks, broken windshield, non operating headlight, alignment issues, etc. The truck was taken in to be fixed, only for some issues not to be fixed (for example, the oil leak was said to not be leaking and was not fixed, but currently still is leaking. The alignment is still off and the truck vibrates when driven, after being told it does not, the transmission still has the issues that was originally complained about) and also left with gouges in the truck from the mechanic. I gave the truck back to be looked at again for the persisting issues not fixed and for the gouges to be fixed. When I received the truck back, some of the issues are still there and did not get fixed such as one of the oil leaks, the alignment being off and the transmission pulling when driving. Each time I brought the truck in, they also did not offer me a loaner vehicle. They are not fully fixing the vehicle, and I am constantly having the same issues I have complained about and am asking them to fix. I asked if I could give the truck back and receive my down payment back. They are refusing. They also put the vehicle was picked up on the 13th, but it was picked up and purchased on the 16th per contract. Was told the lemon law would cover the vehicle for 2 years, but that is for new or leased not used vehicles. I do want to have it understood we are coming up on the 60 day warranty (41 days since purchase as of writing this) and it seems as though the business is avoiding fixing certain things, or holding off as long as they can until the warranty is up so they no longer are responsible. I have tried to speak to multiple people including managers and they are all being extremely rude and prolonging call backs, and getting the truck in to be fixed, etc. I really need help.Business response

Watertown Mitsubishi would like to make it clear that we have been in constant communication with this customer. The manager has spoke to this customer three times today alone (twice before this compliant was filed). We are working to resolve this issue, and the customer is aware of this. The service manager has also spoke with this customer twice today, and set a service apointment the following business day (prior to the compliant being filed). It should be noted we are also accommodating this customer by providing a loaner vehicle while their vehicle is being serviced. We are doing everything in our power to have this resolved promptly.Initial Complaint

I purchased a car from them on OCT 18th 2023. They ensured me the car was safety inspected and was not.my two rear tires were borderline flat i was missing a lugnut on a rear wheel and wheel stud aswell as some of the other lugnuts not being tight enough.tpms and traction control light were also on and they told me numerous times it will be fixed and never was.i have brung the car back to them 5 times within the week and a half i owned it which is ridiculous,i kept having to bring jt back constantly for repairs because they never went over the car or inspected it before it was for sale.everytime i would pick the car up after leaving it there all day they would not fix everything they told me they would be fixing the same day.ontop of that i would experience more problems with the car because of the technician they have breaking or not properly fixing what needed to be fixed in the first place.the service manager was completely unprofessional and my concerns would go in one ear and out the other and would just say “we will take care of it”. I explained to them multiple times i dont have time to be returning my car back to them every other day because of problems they are causing and for other stuff that should have been inspected before the car was even put for sale to begin with.i contacted the sales manager (kevin) and asked if they can please fix the car the proper way because its ridiculous i have to go through this hassle and was assured again it will be fixed and worked out.upon bringing the car to them one last time i picked my car up with now more warning lights on the dash which were not on before i brought the car in and when confrontation about that i was told “it will go off” upon myself inspecting the car i find broken and cut wires for the charging system.i contacted the bank (******* ***) and they said i can return the car back which is what i did on 11/1/2023 and get a call from the dealer on 11/2/2023 DEMANDING i make payments for the car.im so upsetBusiness response

More information,
the company that gave me the loan for the vehicle “******* ***” has called me numerous times stating that the dealer will not cooperate with them in returning the payoff amount back to them so they can terminate the deal.they also will not speak to my lawyers aswell.I took it upon myself to call them and ask why they will not cooperate and not answer to anyone, they tell me that nobody has tried to contact them at all about the issue which is all lies.they also tried to say that ******* *** told THEM that i never contacted ******* *** and was never told by them that i can return the car, which again is all completely false because i have all the calls documented and recorded and even have the employee from ******* ***’s name and ID number. They are NOT trying to resolve anything because if they were this would have been settled a LONG time ago. This dealership is very unprofessional and everytime i ask to speak to there owner they always tell me he isn’t available.

This customer purchased the vehicle from us with the understanding that we will be taking care of some small concerns of his. Although the vehicle was safety inspected beforehand, we agreed to fix the backup camera. It was communicated to him that the parts we need will be ordered and he will receive a call from our service advisor to setup an appointment for the backup camera repair. ****** works at another dealership down the street from us. When he first came in he said he wanted to purchase this vehicle from us because he's been looking for this specific year/make/model and the dealership he works at never gets them in. When we initially agreed on the terms of the deal, he was very excited and eager to finalize the deal. After taking the vehicle home, he called in days later claiming there were a variety of issues with the car. One of which was the display above the radio, which he then clarified was due to his own error the next day. We agreed to have our service department check the vehicle the following business day. When he brought the vehicle back, it was discovered that the vehicle came back with issues it never had when it was offered for sale. There were major electrical issues due to wires being ripped out. There were loose parts in the cupholder. We have all the service records for this vehicle, as well as records of all the damages the vehicle had when it came back for inspection. Its worth noting that during this period Mr. ******** purchased a similar vehicle down the road from the dealership where he works. We believe he changed his mind after finalizing with us, and then devised a plan to force us to take the vehicle back and cancel his contracts with the bank. We believe this plan may have been made with assistance from our competitors down the road, and included intentionally damaging the vehicle severly. This is not fair to us. When he called in demanding that we cancel the deal, we politely informed him that the bank had already received and reviewed the documents, and we were still investigating the issue. Within minutes, Mr. ******** showed up to our showroom and began swearing at our employees in front of our customers . He used vulgar and sexually explicit language in an attempt to intimidate our team.
We have been trying to resolve this issue amicably from the very beginning. We have been in constant communication with this gentleman and his attornies throughout the entire process. His claims of negligence on our part are completely falsified.

I am rejecting this response because:everything they are saying does not add up at all . If the car was infact “safety inspected” how did they not realize there were lug nuts / wheel studs missing even being loose at that ? They are not the slightest bit of cooperative at all . Me working at a dealership has nothing to do with this situation because it involves ME and THEM not my place of work.they have absolutely nothing to do with this and did not help “make a plan” to back out of this deal i had with mitsubishi.the only thing they helped me with was providing me a car that was actually reliable and worth paying money for with NO issues whatsoever.the car had to keep going back to them for new things to be fixed because it was there doing they were the ones that made the vehicle have issues which i have pictured and video proof of.i brought the car for them to fix the traction control light and tpms light and left with no a/c because they broke the connector off so i bring it back for them to fix that issues that THEY caused and i leave with a “check charging system” notification before i even leave the lot and when asked about why thats showing up now there “mechanic” tells me “it will just go off” and proceeded to tell me my tire needs air and i should “go put some air in it” which is absolutely absurd considering THATS HIS JOB coming from a technician MYSELF i would never tell a customer who brings there car into my job and see they need air in there tires and tell them to go do it themselves, thats absolutely ridiculous.and the check charging system light was on because they once again broke the connector that plugs into the alternator.which at that point is what cause me to be completely done with the business entirely and i called ******* *** (which i have all documented as stated before) and they told me i could infact bring the car because given i have only had the car for so long so i called the salesman kevin and informed him that that is what i was going to do and he kept asking what they could do for me to not have the car returned and i said nothing because i will not do buisness with a completely unprofessional dealership and left it like that. The other salesman “marco” has been contacted by both ******* *** and my attorney and will not cooperate with either so thats false . He also called me demanding i make payment for the car and that he wasnt going to be taking the car back and acts completely unprofessional and unaware of anything thats going on and says “nobody has contacted him”.
Sincerely,
****** ********
