    The nature of the dispute is that Anytime Fitness of **** ******** continued to charge my ***** credit card on file with them after I had settled my account with them. I had signed up for a number of sessions with a trainer at the **** ******** location for a specified period of time. After initially starting the training with them I and my husband purchased a condominium in ******* and proceeded to relocate to ******* for a 6-8 month period starting in December of 2023. As it turns out, Anytime Fitness does not transfer contracts out of state, so I entered into discussions with the manager prior to leaving for ******* and had 3 bimonthly payments refunded for a total of $315.79 to settle the account, at which point I was told that I would not be charged any further. The manager manager changed and in January 2024 I was charged $105.29 on January 10th and January 24th. I informed the new manager about the problem and he agreed to stop charging my card and to refund 2x $105.29 = $210.58. That phone call with the new manager took place at the end of January. It is now April 2nd. Anytime has not responded over the last 9 weeks. I have sent them an email and have made three calls to talk to the manager asking for a call back. I have received no responses. To avoid any further financial losses I have had my card temporarily blocked, and will probably have to cancel it eventually. I have uploaded the email thread from my communications with Anytime throughout this process. Zack was the manger we interfaced with (and he did a great job) and Dan was his replacement at the **** ******** location. Aside from an initial face-to-face with Zack (I believe) and the emailing back and forth that followed, I had one brief phone call with the replacement manager Dan towards the end of January in which he said he would mail us the $210.58, which never happened. Our current mailing address is **** ******* ***** ****** ********* ** *****

    HORRIBLE HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT!!! THEY DO NOT ANSWER CALLS and WHEN YOU CALL from a NUMBER they RECOGNIZE… THEY HANG UP! They BARELY ANSWER their EMAILS…DO NOT JOIN ANYTIME FITNESS in ******* *** Save yourself the headache, aggravation and frustration UNLESS you are willing to be put in collections for a DEBT YOU DO NOT OWE! I came in with my fiancé to join on Jan 2022 and we signed up with JULIA who was the previous manager there. She was AMAZING!!! Wish she was still there but she ended up leaving, GEE ?? I WONDER WHY? Anyway, l had to put membership on FREEZE for the next 3 months a few months after I joined bc of an injury…She was aware that I had decided to CANCEL when the FREEZE came up bc it was also too much for me and I was barely going. The REASON I PAID MORE on a month to month basis was so I would not be BOUND by a YEARLY CONTRACT! Anywho, I was contacted by a man named FRED who arranged for me to come in and sign the CANCELLATION FORMS w/ a MAT who works there. Came in March 13 2022 and sat in an office with Mat and signed the cancellation forms. This should have ENDED MEMBERSHIP. But NO. Now I’m stuck with a DEBT BILL bc SOMEONE THERE DID NOT DO THERE JOB! This NEEDS to be RECTIFY! And YES I’m MAD as HELL bc I’m trying to FIX my credit AND THIS FICTITIOUS BILL accomplishes the ANTITHESIS! I have ALL OF MY DOCUMENTATION-MONTH TO MONTH CONTRACT, EMAIL CORRESPONDENCE, TEXT and VOICE RECORDINGS. They’re SHADY and PLAYING GAMES and won’t reply to my emails or try to RECTIFY this SO I WILL DO MY DUE DILIGENCE and BLOW THEM UP ALL OVER MEDIA as a NON ACCREDITED BBB and HIGHLIGHT ALL OF THEIR COMPLAINTS from OTHER MEMBERS as well, UNTIL they reach out and FIX.
