The dealership offered me a truck and told me it was available to get my credit report then shortly after they ran my credit they told me that the car isnt available and tried to sell me something for more money False advertisement??

      Business response

      05/23/2024

Mr. ******** inquired with George Harte Nissan about a vehicle located at our sister store in ********.  We requested a credit application be filled out prior to securing the vehicle.  When we contacted our sister store, they let us know that the vehicle he inquired about was no longer available.  We immediately let the customer know and provided additional options which he declined.  We never asked for a deposit of any kind and the vehicle he inquired on was never actually on our lot.

We are happy to continue working with Mr. ******** to find a vehicle that suits his wants and needs should he wish to pursue a purchase.

      Thank you,

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

When i called back, Stan the original sales representative that i spoke to would not come to the phone. I then asked to speak to a manger. Once i was on the phone with the manager and he confirmed i was **** ******** he denied helping me find a car due to me contacting “The better business bureau”. He stated and i quote “you filed with the better business bureau, have fun finding a truck” (then proceeded to hang up). The response George Harte Nissan sent is a lie they treated me worse once i reported them. This car buying experience has made me feel less of a human and powerless. I gave them the upmost respect and asked questions over and over and all they did was lie to me to try and just get my money.

      Sincerely,

      **** ********

We are certainly sorry if there was some kind of miscommunication with Mr. ********, but we are more than happy to assist him in purchasing a vehicle. Please have him reach out to our General Sales Manager, Joe T****** to discuss his options.

      Thank you

Joe T****** is our General Sales Manager and was not the person Mr. ******** spoke with at any time during this transaction.  As we have previously stated, we are happy to assist him in getting into a new vehicle should he wish to pursue a purchase.  Please have him reach out to Mr. T****** at the store to discuss his options.

Mr. ****** visited George Harte Nissan on 1/23/24 and expressed an interest in purchasing a 2023 Nissan ******.  The advertised price on this vehicle was $24,457.  We offered to sell him this ****** at the advertised price and showed him that his overall purchase would be closer to $27,000 after tax, title and dealer fees.  Mr. ****** was not able to take delivery due to an inability to provide a proof of payoff that the bank would accept.  His down payment was refunded to him on 1/29/24.

Ms. ****** worked directly with her insurance company to obtain vehicle insurance- George Harte Nissan was not involved in any way in her discussions with ***********.  When we delivered this vehicle to Ms. ******, we had a valid proof of insurance on file.

George Harte Nissan has had no further involvement in any matters pertaining to what has transpired in Ms. ******’s situation since delivery.

We are happy to provide proof of insurance at time of delivery should you require further documentation.

I purchased a vehicle from George Harte Nissan on 7/9/21, which included a full extended warranty. I am trading the car in and reached out to cancel said warranty for a refund on the remaining amount. After not hearing back from Finance, I reach out to the GM who originally asked for trade-in paperwork from the new dealer. I told him I was under the impression that I can cancel a warranty at any time without reason, which he confirmed. Finally, Ken in Finance called and left a VM asking again for a slew of paperwork and stating he would send a paper for me to sign to cancel, which he never did, even after I reiterated that Rob (GM) confirmed it's not needed. It is my understanding I only need to fill out a paper requesting to cancel and provide the mileage to cancel at any time. At this point, it's been over a week and I'm unable to get anywhere with the dealership. I'd like someone to provide the paper needed to process the refund and for the remaining balance of the warranty to be provided as soon as possible. Whether or not the car is being traded in is irrelevant at this point and I'd like this taken care of.

      Business response

      09/27/2022

In order to process the warranty cancellation, we need to know the current mileage on the vehicle.  An odometer statement, if the car was traded in, is ideal.  If this is not available, sending an email with the current mileage and a request to cancel is also okay.

Our GM, Rob M****, has reached out to Mr. ********* to obtain this information.  Once we have the exact mileage, we are happy to process the cancellation.

      Thank you,
      Erin T*******
