      On Monday July 24th my daughters 2014 **** ***** ********** transmission started to slip. She drove straight to Budget Transmissions. When the office opened she spoke to a woman named Jenny who said “yes” we can fix your car but it will take 2 weeks. We said okay. She said it would be $850 diagnose the car. If we decided to have them fix it, that $850 would go towards the repair. The entire cost quoted was $2300. So we waited to see what the issue was with the car. We waited and waited, finally at the end of the two weeks we called Jenny. Jenny said yes, we can fix the car, however it’s going to take longer than the two weeks I promised. She also stated that she would need a $1000.00 down payment to start the work. I paid that with a credit card. We said ok. We waited and waited, then we called again in another 2 weeks, Jenny had another story. She stated that the “valve body” they received from their vendor in *** **** was faulty and they had to send it back. Every week we called and it was another story. I finally asked to speak with the owner. He too had stories as to why the car repair isn’t completed. Parts and supply chain issues and he apologized but again no completed car repair. When I spoke to the owner around September 12th he promised to have the repair completed in another 2 weeks. We were called to pick up the car on September 28th. On that day we paid the balance of $4000.00. For a total of $5000.00. On Monday 10/2/2023 the car broke down again. I I feel like I have been taken advantage of because the transmission is no good. My daughter could have been killed driving that car to and from work. They gave us the car back without ensuring it’s safety and took my $5000.00 and didn’t do a thing to earn that money. I would like my money back and to be able to take my car somewhere else to be repaired.

      As with any issue we like to fix it as quickly as possible. This customers part (Valve Body) was not available for almost 2 months. We did not know that ahead of time or we would have been able to share that with the customer and she would have had the choice to not fix it BUT we couldn't have know it until it was all apart. We tried moving heaven and earth and even the dealership said 28 days to get one in (maybe) if all went well. So we called every other vendor we knew and they too fell short and didn't deliver this part as they promised us with every excuse from tornado's to people calling out of work at the delivery places we heard it all.

      Everyone including us were on edge because this was not common to happen, a few days maybe even a few weeks but not almost 2 months.

      After vehicle was test driven and all seemed well we called customer and spoke to her and her daughter in length about the whole thing.

      After that conversation I truly felt bad about the situation that was beyond anyone's control so I discounted the original agreed on addition of the Valve body and took $600 + $265 overnight shipping off the bill and off she went.

      Unfortunately about a weeks later the vehicle developed a leak from a cooling line that went from radiator towards the transmission and ran out of transmission fluid so we went and picked up the vehicle fixed it right away and called the customer that same day and we hadn't heard anything.

      We value Ms ******* and her family they brought a ***** ****** here before and we love that kind of trust and hope one day she realizes a lot of this was unfortunate and no ones fault and hope nothing but the best.

      2008 *** ** was dropped off to budget transmission to fix the reverse ln transmission it was diagnosed by budget and they claim to find other problems we made a deal for the car to be fixed everything for $1750 with me bringing the filter oil and transmission the car was claimed to be fixed and I went to pick it up the same day I received the car I realized alot of other issues was wrong that wasn't their before alot a lights came on that wasn't their before I bring back the car the same day to explain what was going on I also realized someone at budget left the car open and water got into it I try to resolve the problem by them fixing the issues since they have diagnosed the car the manager is telling me I should go to the dealer without me getting back a refund or my car getting fixed so I contact you guys to see if this can be resolved cause I can't pay for a problem that wasn't fix and get passed off to go somewhere else without problem resolved my car came back worst than it went

      This customer took the car back from someone he sold it to who brought it to our place for repairs but had so many issues with the vehicle that the person he spoke to did not want it anymore.

      We informed the customer who took the car back who is making this complaint that it had well over $4000 worth of repairs all those lights on the dash were present we have the original scan to show him which we did the customer elected to buy his own used transmission all we did is install it customer declined all other repairs some of which we could not do here anyway it would have to be taken to the *** dealership.

      At no point did we inform the customer that for $1750 everything in the vehicle was going to be fixed.

      As a courtesy we double checked other work that had nothing to do with us on the vehicle to give the customer to the best of our knowledge a diagnosis if whatever we did not know  we then referred him to the car dealership for the rest.

      the car was sold to my cousin which bring it to these guys and they wanted 4000 for repairs I went and spoke to them and they told me detailed that the car will be fixed I payed what they ask while providing a transmission from a reputable store which was delivered straight to the business place inside my car was not wet when it was delivered to this place and all those lights was not present when car came to those guys and I have wickness to prove that also it's not only the transmission work was done and the car is worst than It was bought their at no time when the deal was being made they said nothing about dealership it's after they messed up the car and didn't wanna give me a resolution am hearing that I should take it to the dealership trying to send me off after the money was payed cause if you diagnosed a car and charge to fix the problem the problem should be fixed not be worst and I can't get back none of my money after they let my car got water damaged the reason why I got the car back they wanted 1300 to just pull down the transmission and then put it back up they recommend for me to get another transmission so it's only a problem now cause I didn't let them charge me a extra 2500 for a transmission that is only 689 I am a parts dealer and that transmission comes with a year warranty and it's one of the place this company order transmissions from on the regular so if it wasn't a reputable place they would have said that ,I just need my car fixed
      I am rejecting this response because:

      the car is not fixed and worst damage was done to the car when it was left at the owner promises and got water inside which wasn't their when car was delivered if car is diagnosed then problem should be fixed what was charged for car went cause it wasn't reversing we was introduced to other problems because they needed us to spend more money drain plug,que ball,shocks and a transmission if they couldn't fix the car I wish they would told me that and I would find other alternatives but don't collect for a job then try to play me to send me off to the dealer after my car is damaged Sincerely,

      Once again this vehicle had multiple problems he sold a car to somebody knowing they had problems and that person requested their money back because of it. Then when he took the vehicle back as the customer said he did not want to spend the extra money on it. He provided a used transmission for the car that is used no one knows if it’s good until it’s installed. Customer doesn’t wanna hear it. We double checked our installation and all is well. $30 a day is currently in place for storage. Vehicle needs to go to dealership for further testing.
