I enrolled and took a course with this business on July 30-31st. I paid 1500 dollars for the two day course. On the website they had no information to disclaim to customers of their courses that they would not be attaining a legal license to apply eyelash extensions or to micro blade eye brows and they did not state and inform that a license was necessary to begin a lashing career. I confronted the owner afterwards with this information, and she claimed she would sign my paper to give to the health department stating I had two years experience so I could obtain a license. This is clearly illegal or wrong and I declined. I then paid 5,000 to an accredited school to get my license officially. She never offered a refund and now her website provides a disclaimer after this confrontation. She has her niece working on people at her salon with no license and I’m sure many other employees, not only is this a health and safety issue, it negates all the hard work and money licensed lash technicians have put in. I’m sure she illegally signed their papers claiming they have two years experience so that they have their legal license. I don’t expect a refund but I would like this issue to be investigated and I would like my money back that they had taken, she claimed we could go out and start lashing, when that is actually against state regulations. I have documentation of our conversation and her stating she would sign papers for me and commit fraud. If I can obtain my money back that would be great but I just want to make this known if something were to happen to someone at their salon, as they did not properly train them with a 50 hour accredited course.

This person  clearly misunderstood the context of our conversation because no one at our facility was going to sign for her to get a license!! The purpose of the affidavit form was if she wanted to fill out on her own to try and get grandfathered in by filling it out and indicate she has prior experience. We text her what the form looked like so she could go online and download it correctly to fill out without our involvement! We hold Lash training courses around the world. It is up to the student to do their due diligence and check their state and local regulatory guidelines, We never sign off on hours for anyone that did not complete the required course outline. If this course was meant for licensing in each state we would require more class time involvement and the cost would be an understandably higher than $1500, possibly around $5000 or more, Hopefully this clarifies this above complaint. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further clarification on this matter.

*****, We always had the correct information posted on our website. We did, however, change some writing from black to red so it’s easily seen by prospective students. Also,  you mentioned Microblading, it is a totally different program than what you paid for and therefore should’ve been omitted from this conversation.  To reiterate, on Microblading we do certification and internships to accumulate the 2000 hours required for Microblading licensing in the state of Connecticut which is completely legal.
I hope you realize that you are indicating and implying that we are practicing illegally, and have people working at our establishment illegally.  Your accusations are completely false and inaccurate and these statements can cause you to be brought up on charges for slander, therefore I have submitted this to our attorney because we may proceed to the court system to escalate this matter, our reputation that has been built on a solid foundation is at stake.

      Best regards
      M.A. Team
