Fallon moving and storage showed up on move day but decided after viewing the basement items that they could not move them due to mold. They stated they would not put their employees at risk as they have asthma. The move lead on the job disclosed his boss would write me a letter stating why they refused to move the basement. I have called them repeatedly without any recourse. they denied me the letter and said they don’t want to ‘get involved.’ They cost me a lot of money as I was forced to hire movers and truck of my own through uhaul to finish the job.Business response

Customer informed team about mold in basement, somewhere along the way they understood that customer had it inspected . Informed team that her son was doing laundry in the basement the day before and had a headache from it. Team was uncomfortable moving the items. Nor should we knowingly be putting items with mold on our trucks as it is a liability. Team said that they were uncomfortable doing the basement part of the move due to possible health problems. We moved the remaining items and charged for what was done. She tipped the crew, thanked them and was happy with the work done that we did and understood the situation.
Customer informed office that she was taking landlord to court because of mold and asked us to write a letter. Fallon Moving and Storage is not an expert in mold, and did not want to misrepresent. Customer is unhappy not because of the work that was done by Fallon Moving and Storage, but rather that we did not feel it was appropriate to misrepresent ourselves to a court.
