My name is *** *** ** ******. I was threatened by a senior hair stylist by the name of Jennifer L*** at Progressions Hair Salon on December 10, 2022. I am a world renown Ph.D. Chemist, and **. L*** proclaimed that she was as well for science in general stating that this translated to: "** *** **** **** **** **** *******", then she chopped off ten inches of my hair without permission. I was shocked and forced to pay for an incredibly poor service that was over two-hundred dollars. I was told by this stylist, **. L***, that hair "was not important anyway" when I knew that maternal mitochondrial DNA found within hair is used by the police to solve cold cases all the time and acts as a barrier for our sun's otherwise harmful UV radiation. I have contacted the *** ****** ** police regarding this theft of my hair that was once attached my my head and now is not. They do make wigs at this salon, and could have taken my hair by force in this endeavor, although I do not wish to make a false accusation. The fact is, they did steal it. I was also threatened and then violated. Afterwards, I was forced to pay for a hair service they deem over two-hundred dollars when it should not cost more than ten dollars. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.Business response

I am truly sorry to hear of these outlandish accusations. Clearly **. ****** has fabricated a story beyond belief. I responded to the first complaint that she had reported, as it too was false. We do not steal the hair off of people's heads. We are a hair salon we offer services in which customers schedule appointments to have their hair cut and colored for a fee. You can see in the attachment that **. ****** made an appt for haircut and color service and the charge was $182 not over $200. Please read her complaint and understand the scope of her complaint to be one of complete fabrication.

Firstly, my name is not **. ******; but *** *** * ******:
I was threatened with a pair of sharp sheers by Jennifer L*** on 12/10/2022 when she said to me "** *** **** **** **** **** *******" and then cut off 10 inches of my hair when we had previously agreed on three. The 200 USD was an estimate, but I was writing more to the threat. Does Progressions Hair Salon realize that I had to re-live that threat every time I looked in the mirror for several months now, to the extent that I will not visit a salon at all? Are they aware the damage that a sharp pair of scissors does when held in front of a person's face, then used to extract hair from their head, then when begging not to do more, continue to do so, and after than asking not to put in angles because it would go closer to the eyes Jennifer L*** stated: "No, I think we're going to do that anyway". After all of this Jennifer L*** told me, being a stylist at Progressions hair salon, that "Hair isn't important anyway because it is 'dead'". That is interesting because it is at least of aesthetic value, but it is also of biological value, and I can attest to this being a Ph.D. Chemist.
This is criminal. It is not just civil. I am not fabricating anything (which now is liable), and my complaint is not going away. It is not going away without police, BBB, and judicial involvement.
Best regards,
*** *** ** ******
