These people clearly make a commission on the timeline that they get you into a new loan. I have been harassed for weeks by sales reps go anywhere else their rates arent that great.

I wish I could leave zero stars! They are full of false advertising and they talk you into a hard credit pull just to give you completely different information. My husband and I both have great credit, above 760 each, the offer was through credit karma, they offered a 60-month term for our car refinance for 5.22%. I knew that sounded a little too good to be true and expected the offer to come back a little higher than that with rates today but it came back with a 48-month offer and a rate of over 12%! I feel like that is just false advertising or a bait-and-switch tactic to get people to apply. Our current loan is at 9% and it would have raised our payment by $400 a month and raised our interest rate when we were trying to save a little bit of money. We have decent credit, but I still don't understand their logic, of course, they just blamed credit karma but I have taken other offers through credit karma before and the results were much closer to what was offered. I believe this is a Caribou problem, and that they are scamming people. I do not recommend this company at all, and after reading the other reviews on here it probably is a blessing that it didn't work out. I just wish I wasn't tricked into a hard credit pull by them. ****** learned if it seems too good to be true it probably is! I agree with other reviews on here that they are looking to scam people into higher rates, put more money in their pockets, and not look out for their clients. Please take my warning and stay away, save yourself and your credit from this terrible company.

Zero stars isn't an option. This company is a scam. I received an approval for my auto refinance but needed to wait until my license was valid to complete the process. I reconfirmed the approval after I received a letter in the mail saying I was not approved. ******* said not to worry, my application was only closed for right now because of the licensing sutation and that my application was open for 30 days. After 2 weeks, all of my documents were in order and I was told my application was reopened but in order to complete the refinance I'd need to pay down $200 principal balance which I obliged within 48 hours. He then came back and said I was not approved and said he'd look for other options. He ignored 2 attempts of contact before finally responding that the only other option I had was to pay down an additional $1000 principal which is coming 3 days before my current car note is due, of which he said in the beginning I wouldn't need to pay because the refinance would be completed by then. I did not set aside money for my car note this month because of this. Not only am I not refinanced, I am also down my entire car payment due in 3 days, and short another $200 for absolutely no gain at all. For reference, I have an over 700 credit score and make over $60k as a single person. The approval should've been a no brainer!

I got a reference recommendation from Credit Karma. Went through the process with a hard credit inquiry. Just to be denied immediately. Customer service was good, but loan approval is a scam.

I'm disappointed. I thought the loan would be with Caribou, but they sold it to a credit union that charged me additional fees and required me to join them. And Caribou charged me $399 on top it that! You will not find me recommending your company to anyone!

Great rates even with todays inflation's. Caribou came out in top compared to other lenders and 3rd party companies.
