      On Tuesday, September 28, I visited the salon and asked for hair services. I requested a blowout service and no other services. My hair was washed by a woman and then she applied what I thought to be a deep conditioner, and instructed me to sit under the dryer for about 20 minutes. Then, she rinsed my hair and then another stylist blow dryed and flat ironed my hair.A week later, I washed my hair in my home and I discovered that my hair was chemically altered because my natural curl pattern and texture were limp and lifeless. I do not use chemical products on my hair for risk of damage and allergic reaction.

      Hello,

      I am writing on behalf of Judith Dominican Hair and the complaints received. This is in reference to Complaint ID #*********. Both allegations of the application of chemicals to the hair are false. We have no desire to alter the hair texture of our customers and the application of a chemical incurs a significant charge due to the cost of purchasing such chemical products (e.g. relaxer, perm, keratin, etc.). The prices both customers were charged and paid does not reflect the price of such service. It is important to note; however, that heat (and particularly) flat ironing can alter the texture of the hair due to the heat. Both clients requested that the hair be flat ironed (which is by request only). In both instances, the clients were provided with the service that they requested and paid for. While they may not have liked the outcome of the service they requested days or weeks later (and such complaints were not shared upon completion of the service in the salon), it is unfortunate that such accusations have been escalated to the BBB as customer satisfaction and our reputation is our top priority.

      I am rejecting this response because: The first photo attached shows how straight my hair remained in the month following service with the business. My hair in its natural state is very curly and not straight after regular heat styling.

      I visited this business on September 23rd 2021. It's a hair salon I went to get my hair washed blow-dried and flat ironed. They put a chemical relaxer in my hair. I don't put chemicals relaxers in my hair because I color it. I have naturally curly hair they did not ask my permission and they did not inform me. I went to wash my hair one week later and I just had a very strong smell of chemicals. My hair is now damaged and brittle. I have washed it and conditioned it's several times and I still have a strong smell of chemicals which means they didn't even wash it out.
