My debit card does not work and stopped working on April 18th. I contacted the credit union and the manager, *********************** promised to overnight me a debit card yesterday. I called to find out the status and she won't return my call nor confirmed when or if she sent the new debit card. I don't reside in DC and need my debit card.

I obtained a loan through them and was told that I would be able to make principle only payments. When I attempted to do this I found out that you needed to call in. But after I called in I learned you needed to have a checking account with them in order to make principle only payments. So I opened an account even though I didn't want to. Upon opening the account I was able to link an external account. But now I can no longer link an external account, nor can I send more money to the account. In affect, they have cut off my ability to pay my loan principle off early. So I have 2 problems:1. I cannot link an external account in order to add more money to pay off the loan faster. 2. I cannot pay towards principle without calling in during working hours and often times they mess up and make it a normal payment instead of a principle only payment.

Thank you very much for brining this complaint to our attention.  We have researched our member's issues and agree with him.  Unfortunately, our home banking system, which is managed by a 3rd party software vendor, does not have the capability to process principal-only payments on our home improvement loans.  We can certainly sympathize with our member's frustration, and have been working with our home banking vendor to add this functionality.  It is our expectation that this issue will be resolved within the next few months.  In the meantime, we encourage our member to contact our member service center and request the payments be made via phone.

The DOCFCU experienced a system problem in November 2022. With that, our scheduled auto payment did not process. We spoke with a DOCFCU agent, authorized another payment. It didn't process, on a 3rd call, we were promised this would be corrected. However, the business reported a late payment to the credit bureau and my credit score plummeted because of their false report . The payment due on Nov 25, 2022 was paid on the 14th of Nov, but their system was broken. Also, the payments are not deducted from the balance and the balance keeps increasing on file as we make payments. It seems as though there are some issues on their end that are not fixable and the consumer is suffering because of it.

I gave them all the info they asked for, I verified all my information. Still was told they wouldn't help me. They told me I have to go into the office. I live in Texas the office is in Washington. I hope this does not happen to anyone else.
