Per voicemail message on 7/6/23 a refund for prescription eyeglasses was granted and would be delivered via mail in form of check in 4-6 weeks time upon return of product to store. On 7/7/23 I arrived at the Newark location with the glasses that were incorrectly prescribed, and was confirmed via employee that the check was already en route to my address. I have not received my refund nor do I have a possession of returned goods. I would like resolution for my outstanding refund of $245.Initial Complaint

I arrived for my appointment on October 20, 2021, which had been scheduled roughly 2 months earlier. At check in, I was told I had an unpaid bill totaling $159.50 (from optical) and would not see the doctor until I paid the bill. I was stunned. The disputed amount was from July 11, 2019, over 2 YEARS earlier!! DECC contends that I only paid 50% of the cost of my prescription sunglasses, yet they NEVER release glasses until they are paid in FULL. I cannot remember the specifics of a transaction that took place over 2 years ago, so I cannot defend myself. I can't describe the employee who handled the payment, nor can I recall if they were running a special discount on a second pair of glasses. Yet when I questioned why I never received a bill if, as they claim, I owed them money, they said that they never send out bills. Had they notified me 2 months ago when I made the appointment, I could have contacted billing in advance. Their billing error has cost me my doctor of 7-8 years.
