            We contracted with this company for a porch railing replacement. They began the work in July of 2023. They proceeded at a pretty good pace in the beginning, then began having unexplained delays, and then stopped showing altogether. The owner reported vehicle trouble, and then had issues with his arm. We were very understanding, and when asked to, agreed to wait until he was back working. We kept contact, and he usually answered, stating his desire to complete the job. Eventually, he stopped answering, leaving us with an unfinished railing, with shoddy workmanship in many places. We have since found different people to try and finish what was left, and ‘fix’ some of the bad areas as best as they can, without redoing the entire project. The rails have been painted by the new contractor. Also, we contracted the first party to repair some cement work which was never started.

            Met Charlie Golt April 21, 2022. Approved estimate and deposit of $7,000, check #7024 paid April 27, 2022. Construction of a screened-in porch was to begin the last week of May 2022 or first week of June 2022. Pictures of porches sent April 26, 2022. Additional pictures of recently completed porches were sent April 28, 2022. June 26, 2022, Mr. Golt needed to re-submit application for permit, reason unknown. Customer asked if he could start July 11, 2022, and Mr. Golt agreed. July 23, 2022, there was no activity and we stated that we would cancel if construction did not start. July 25, 2022, footers were dug. July 30, 2022, we asked Mr. Golt to install caution tape around the area of the footers. August 8, 2022, inspection completed and approved. August 13, 2022, concrete poured. August 15, 2022, received text from Mr. Golt stating he needed to pick up materials and he would come over afterwards. Mr. Golt has not contacted us since then and has not come to our home to work on the screened-in porch.
