On Dec 4,2021, I accepted Mr *******'s estimate to build a deck with steps, railings and lattice around the base as is required by my HOA. The building of the deck went well until, the placement of the steps and railings. The left railing was crooked, and the right railing had a hole in the bottom section for a post but no hole in the top section for that post. On 12/23/21, I was leaving for PA, to be with family for the holidays. The only work remaining was repairing the two rails and placement of the lattice work. Mr. Waller said the work would be completed no later than the next day. Mr Waller requested that I pay him, so that he would have money to spend on his children for Christmas. I did so, expecting, him to keep his word. When I returned home, everything remained as it was when I left. Numerous emails and phone calls resulted in promises to do the work within a reasonable period of time, and that never happened. It is now over 6-months that i have been waiting for completion or reimbursements.Business response

I am aware of complaint from customer. I have told the customer customer that I will be out to fix the complaint issue when I get a chance. I am 4 months behind on work and am down man power. His railing which is his complaint is fully operational and has been since installed. Im not going to stop all my other work for a single railing literally a single bottom railing of a piece of railing. When I have a day where im not working 7 days a week I will get his railing fixed.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and have determined that this does not resolve my issue. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
**In order for the bureau to continue to assist you, you MUST provide your view on the matter or your complaint will be closed as answered.
He has been telling me that he will finish the job for over 7 Months now. It is less than 4 hours work to finish the job. The HOA requires Latice around the deck I keep worrying the I will be fined if someone complains. If I sue in court, it will take more of his time then to finish the job and be costly.

I will either get someone to do the work by next week or myself. Once this is taken care of If I get anymore contact from the customer with the complaint I will sue. And I don’t care how much time I lose going to court. So by the end of week of 8/12 the lattice will be up on the deck and the lowering railing bar will be replaced
