Communications between myself and Moore & Co Renovations LLC started in late April of 2021. Based on word of mouth, I decided that I would go with Moore & Co Renovations LLC and requested that Mr. Moore renovate my basement. Upon his request of putting down a 10,000 deposit on May 5, 2021, for services to start. At this time, It Moore & Co Renovations were contracted to finish/drywall basement ceiling, exterior, and adjacent walls, install insulation into a ceiling joist, tape/finish all drywall joints, frame/ hang all doors. Materials were included per the invoice I received. Renovations did not start until June 14, 2021. Now present-day, a whole year later, my basement is still not done, and I had to have other people come to assess the job that was done, see if it could be fixed for inspection, and pay a new contractor. I spoke to ****** ******, the owner of Mccaingroup LLC. He came to my home address to estimate to finish the basement. It was noted that some of the work was started by a previous contractor but never finished. When he arrived at my house, Mr. Mccain found that the stud framing consisting of 2x4s was not installed correctly and incomplete in several basement areas. The previous contractor's work had to be demoed and removed to bid and start working at the property correctly. Upon taking the appropriate step to ensuring that the framing of the 2x4 studying would pass county inspection, we did so. after signing an agreement with Mrs. *********, my company completed the stud framing, the demo of the previous contractor, and the passing of the county inspection. Mr. Moore and I had communicated at the start that my husband's family from Mexico was coming to stay, and we needed to have the basement completed by June 2022. He understood us moving on to a new contractor, and I requested a refund of the monies to pay the new conductor. He stated I would only receive 1661.32 even though the job was not completed.
