Dear Ms. *****
We are just the financer of the vehicle. We were not the ones who sold it to you. In any event, you signed a disclosure statement that says clearly that the vehicle was a salvage. If you would like a copy of this statement, we would be more than happy to provide it.
You can contact us for further discussion. We can be reached by phone at (302) 674-0365 or toll-free at (800) 863-0365, or by email at [email protected]. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8AM to 6PM EST, and Saturdays from 9AM to 3PM EST.Customer response

Dear Mr. ******,
We reviewed your complaint and our records. The name, address, and email in your complaint all match those in our records. Our records show that you signed a Motor Vehicle Retail Installment Contract for a 2014 Ford Focus on or around September 16th, 2022 with Glacier Auto Sales 2. We were the financing company for this sale. Throughout the time the contract was active, you made payments on the contract, and we contacted and conversed with you concerning payments on the account.
In other words, we have good reason to believe that you are in fact liable with us. We must refuse, therefore, to simply remove your account from your credit report.
Our records do not show any requests for a copy of the contract. We can send you a copy of the contract by physical mail or email if you would like.
In regards to any of these concerns, please feel free to contact us. We can be reached by phone at (302) 674-0365 or toll-free at (800) 863-0365, or by email at [email protected]. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8AM to 6PM, and Saturdays from 9AM to 3PM.Initial Complaint

This is the worst finance company ever they are disrespectful and rude. They will will call you and your job 3 times a day But when you call them you got to answer so many questions to get to the person you want so the person answering the phone can illegal look at your files. But I brought a car from atlantic auto Brookers out of Harrington Del I did the online application told them this what I had down and this what can afford a month which was 500.00 down and 250 a month I was approved by American finance so i go get the car i put 500 down but my payments doubled now I pay 220.50 every 2 weeks 1st of all who pays a car payment every 2 weeks and this not a buy here pay yes I pay 441.00 a month for a 2009 buick lacrosse. This company charged me for 2 year tag that I pay interest on gave me a 1 year tag never gave me the difference back Spencer the salesman talk to my insurance company representative personal on the phone then lied and said that they have there own insurance come to find out it's not its debit cancellation that is paid every 2 weeks also then on top of that he charged me a 26.99 APR for 60 months but making me pay it back in 30 months cause I pay every 2 weeks nobody else pays a car payment every 2 weeks . The total amount of the car was 7995 with 500 down the car was 7495 taxes tags and forced debit cancellation it came 9712 after finance charges total is 13230 so as of right now I paid 2 years car payment in 1 year and they even repossessed the vehicle a few weeks ago and was forced to pay almost 1000 dollars to get it back for late fees and how I'm I late if in giving you 2 car payment a month on a 60 month loan I pay 1423.00 bi weekly for the debt cancellation I 0we less then 6500 dollars on a 60 month loan in 1 year the company knows about the mistake and still forced me to pay. This company is doing illegal trade practices 26.99 Apr is illegal my payments should be 220.50 @ 60 payments equal to 13320 but I pay every 2 weeks so its 30 monthsBusiness response

Dear Mr. *****,
Thank you for the opportunity to address your concerns. We have reviewed your account and it does not appear that we have called you at your job and we do not call any customer three times a day. As far as the questions you must answer when you call our office - this is for your protection. We ask the same questions of all customers to ensure that we are speaking to the correct person. We do not have an employee named Spencer. If that was your salesperson at Atlantic Auto Brokers, please know that we do not employ salespeople. With respect to your payment schedule, the contract you signed for the vehicle shows that you will make payments on a bi-weekly basis. Additionally, your contract is not for 60 months. The fees that were added to your account when your vehicle was repossessed were fees relating to the repossession itself. Those fees and any missed payments had to be brought current in order for you to redeem the vehicle. We do not force place debt cancellation agreements.
We do wish to ensure that all of your questions have been satisfactorily answered. If you would like to discuss this matter further, please, as always, feel free to contact us at ***** ******** ** ***** ******** or via email at [email protected]. Our phone lines are open Monday through Friday from 8a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. We look forward to hearing from you, and welcome any questions, comments, or concerns. Our ultimate goal is to work with our customers to the extent possible to resolve any issues.

Dear Mr. ********,
Thank you for your message. You’ve been a good customer for the duration of your loan, and we appreciate your business.
Upon review of your account, your contract shows that you were to make bi-weekly payments of $164.18 until the loan is paid off. On March 11, 2022, you asked for a payoff amount for your loan. As of that day, the amount due was $994.20, with interest accruing daily.
It appears that we were working with you regarding some of your payment due dates. On April 29, 2022, you had approximately three payments left to pay on your account, plus interest and a fee (if you need further explanation, we are happy to provide a full accounting to you, but do not wish to disclose private details about your account via this public forum).
You called in on April 29, 2022, and asked if you could arrange to make the payment that was due that day “next Friday”, meaning you were asking to pay it on May 6th, 2022. Your next regularly scheduled payment was then May 13th, 2022 (and at that point you would have two payments remaining after you made the payment on May 6th). You indicated that you would make the payment which was due on April 29, 2022 on May 6, 2022, and would make the next payment on its due date, which was May 13, 2022. The payment that you arranged to pay on May 6, was indeed paid on May 6th. Therefore, two payments still remained due on your account (plus any interest that was accruing, along with any fees that may have been due. Although no payment was made on May 13, 2022, it appears that you logged into the system and took the screenshot that you submitted with this complaint. You called in about a week later – on May 20, 2022 and spoke to one of our employees. You said that you were told on a phone call that you only had one payment remaining after your May 6, 2022 payment. Upon review, it does not appear that any employee told you that. It would seem that perhaps you gleaned that information from the online portal by which you were making your payments. Our employee told you that day that the third party vendor credit card processor had been having some communication issues – there was a software glitch when the company was updating its software. The portal was showing that the “Payoff Balance” showed as your usual bi-weekly amount due, or $164.18, instead of the full amount remaining on your account, or $373.56 on that date (two payments of $164.18 plus a fee that was lawfully assessed). After that call, it appears that you understood what was still owed on your account. You made a payment on or about June 4, 2022 and you followed up with a phone call and stated that you plan to make the remaining payment on June 10, 2022.
If you would like to discuss this matter further, please, as always, feel free to contact us at (302) 674-0365 or (800) 863-0365 or via email at [email protected]. Our phone lines are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. We look forward to hearing from you, and welcome any questions, comments, or concerns. Our ultimate goal is to work with our customers to the extent possible to resolve any issues.
