      Please find attached the invoice and my complaint letter sent to *** ******* on 16 July 2022, which I stated the date incorrectly in my correspondence to them regarding their invoicing. Basically, this is the grievance we have regarding the bill: Cat, I am writing back to dispute the excessive extra labor charges billed today, 17 July 2022. The excess charges were not disclosed to me when I asked ******* for the amount to be charged prior to authorizing the repair of our backflow pressure valve when I was called on 11 July 2022. ******* was not able to initially tell me the charge, however, she returned a second phone call with a quote for $150.00. Additionally on either date neither you on 6 July 2022 who returned my initial call nor ******* on 11 July 2022 disclosed extra hourly fees on top of the service charge of $75.00. The extra technician served as a driver and interpreter and the overall job on either occasion was not as lengthy as you are stating in the invoice. For example, the initial call lasted less than 10 minutes, I had already sent photos prior to the call and had diagnosed the problem myself which I stated, and than was told they couldn't repair it, and the 2nd visit is strongly questionable since the crew left for 30 minutes, returned and remained parked in my driveway for an extended period of time after the job was completed to eat lunch and wait for a call for their next job. To top off the whole experience, they timed my first station #1 to run for 6 hours. I was absolutely horrified to find my garden bed had been running water for the 3-1/2 hours before I discovered it. Overall, the work was excellent, but this bill leaves me angry and mislead. Please correct the issue. Sincerely, Jennifer Horsley As of this date, no representative from Sullivan's has responded to this email and Virgil called them today and they lied to my husband about what had transpired regarding the work. They claim they gave us a discount, which is false.

      Sullivan’s Landscaping was a nightmare to deal with and absolutely the worst part of our major home renovation in Rehoboth Beach. What started out well working with Jim Stone on a design quickly soured during the installation. The installation crew did not listen to our requests on how to plant the dogwood trees, though that hardly matters now as the trees are dying and will need to be replaced (which we will be using a different company to do). The original holly trees and laurels that were installed died and had to be replaced. The drip line irrigation that was installed was done so poorly that we had to engage another company and pay over $1,200 to have it setup to correctly zone the yard. We reached out multiple times regarding landscape lighting work and that department never responded so we went with another company. When issues arose, Jim refused to respond to texts, emails, or phone calls. Dealing with Cat, the office manager, was frustrating. We had to escalate issues to the owner of the company, who simply apologized for his company not meeting expectations rather than offering a meaningful solution. Based on our experience, I would never recommend using Sullivan’s for even the smallest project.
