I bought a 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk from Newark Chrylser Jeep on 8/24/2021. I was told by my salesman, ***** *****, which is the sale manager that the DMV is backed up and it will take a little while to get my tags which was fine. Fast forward to March 2022, I still did not receive my tags. I called the DMV to see what was going on and the gentleman I spoke to said there was never any paperwork filed for my car and that they are backed up but not this backed up and I should have already received them by now. Went down to the dealership to see what was going on, ***** ***** said they dropped the ball and they were going to go down to the DMV and file my paperwork right away and expedite it. I called a week later, spoke with Chris again, he said my paperwork has been filed and all I can basically do is wait due to the DMV being backed up. I said to Chris that I already spoke to the DMV and they said that they are not that backed up and you said it was gonna be expedited. He said its out of their hands and I still just need to wait. 5/4/2022, I called the DMV due to I still do not have my tags, spoke to a woman and she said I need to file an investigation with the DMV investigator due to that it has been almost 8 months and it does not make any sense that I do not have my tags. Called the dealership and spoke to a receptionist and he said again, DMV is backed and I need to wait. I told him the situation and he said let me get your salesman, I told him I wanted someone above him and he hung up on me. Currently I will be on my 5th T-tag due to my tag expires on 5/8/2022.Business response

We were aware of this situation with Miss ******'s tag. We did drop the ball in the beginning it didn't go to motor vehicle. We have since gotten the paperwork to motor vehicle, the car inspected, and have received the new registration and sticker for the tag. We apologize for any inconvenience and are glad we were finally able to complete the tag work. Thank you
