I purchased a vehicle from Matt Slap Subaru on 5/19/2015 and purchased an optional extended warranty. I now have a severe problem with my car and have been told my warranty has lapsed. Matt Slap is saying that the warranty starts at the time the dealership purchased the vehicle, not when I purchased the vehicle. However, based on the warranty form that I signed, the listed warranty start date is 5/19/2015 for a 7 year/100,000 mile policy. This service will cost roughly $5000 if not covered under warranty. I have reached out to Matt Slap to explain my situation and was told the General Manager would be contacted and **** (whom I spoke with) would reach back out to let me know what they could do. I have received no follow up. If this policy (a warranty starting at time of dealership purchase NOT client purchase) is accurate, it was never explained to me by the salesperson I worked with at the time of the sale. I have only been referred to Subaru of America as **** said that not being located in Delaware, Matt Slap Subaru will likely not do anything for me.Business response

According to the contract which you attached, right under the selected term and coverage, it clearly states that Coverage Expires when the selected plan years have elapsed from the original Subaru Limited Warranty start date or when the odometer reaches 100,000 miles, whichever occurs first, regardless of the date or mileage at the time of the Certified Pre-Owned Service Agreement purchase. The Original in service date on this vehicle 8-8-2014. Ms. *** Purchased this Vehicle on 5-19-2015 with 7,445 Miles. Meaning Due to Time, Her vehicles warranty expired on 8-8-2021. after that date any and all repairs would not be covered under this plan.
