My partner and I hired Kip Construction on April 17,2023 to install an ez breeze window system to our back porch. We gave ****** ******** a$2000 deposit to put us on the schedule for the end of June. On May 2, 2023 we gave ****** $4400 to order the windows, in order to have them installed by the end of June. He was supposed to install them on June 21st but he didn’t come due to rain, We did not see or hear from him until July 4th when he showed up for a half day and installed the frames. He then sent a text on July 7th that said the windows would not be able to be delivered until Aug 7-10th. We asked him for proof that he did in fact order the windows but nothing from him. On August 5th we began reaching out to him regarding the status of the windows. On August 10th he texted us windows should be in tomorrow. On August 12 he informed us the windows were the wrong size and that he sent them back. He said the company has offered to reorder the windows which would be another month and a half or we can get a refund. We chose a refund on August 15th. ****** said it would take 10-14 days to go back on his credit card. We reached out on August 21 about the refund. We offered several options to get our money. Venmo, meet in person, Zelle. He texted he would mail a check and we told him we would meet him to pick it up because we knew he would have some excuse why we never received it by mail. He told us he in was not around to meet.He told us he would send $1000 with Zelle because that’s their daily limit per day. On Aug 28th after texting him several times he sent $1000. After that we heard nothing. The next day we told him we will be contacting a lawyer if he didn’t return the rest of our money. He sent another $1000 on Aug 29th and we have not heard from him since, He owes us $2400 because we wanted to pay him for the framing he did.We have a contract with him and want the rest of our money back, We hope you can help.
