I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and frustration with the recent experience I had with Dewey Beach Water Sports, and I am reaching out to you as the intermediary in this matter in hopes of finding a resolution. My group and I had made a reservation to rent three jet skis from Dewey Beach Water Sports. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, one of our group members fell ill prior to our scheduled reservation time. As soon as we became aware of the situation, I contacted Dewey Beach Water Sports to inform them of our predicament and requested a full refund based on their cancellation policy. According to Dewey Beach Water Sports’ cancellation policy, customers are entitled to a full refund or credit with 24 hours’ notice of cancellation. Additionally, the policy states that customers will receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. As such, I firmly believed that our situation fell within the scope of the policy and that a full refund was justified. To my dismay, despite my efforts to reach a resolution and my adherence to their cancellation policy, Dewey Beach Water Sports only refunded me a third of the total amount I had paid. This partial refund not only goes against their own policy but is also unfair and unacceptable. I believe it is crucial for businesses to honor their stated policies, as they set clear expectations for customers and foster trust. In this instance, Dewey Beach Water Sports’ failure to provide the promised.
