I have called repeatedly to schedule an appointment for which I am due, and no one answers the phone. I've held for 20 minutes or more and their phone system tells me to keep holding to wait for a representative, but no one ever comes on the phone.

Please refer to attachments. Both were for the same eye exam. On 11/23/2020 I had told the Delaware Eye Institute that I had been previously diagnosed with cataracts and wanted them looked at as well. When I checked in I showed them my Davis Vision insurance. It was accepted. It covers $100. I was told after the 11/23/2020 exam that I would be sent a bill. The bill was for $50. I had been told at checkin that this was NOT covered by Davis. The bill came on 01/28/2021. It was for the $50 that was called out on checkin. I paid in on 02/08/2021. On 01/04/2022 I went for another eye appointment at Delaware Eye Institute. I checked in, shared my insurance. There was no change. I expected no difference in the billing. It was not brought up at checkin or at checkout. I again expected a $50 billing. The bill came the end of February 2022. I did not open it until i was to pay them March bills. When I opened it, I was shocked. The bill was for $180.21. I had opened the bill on 03/23/2022. I called the same day. The billing office was closed. I called again on 03/26/2022. Again, the office was closed. I left a message requesting information as to why the bill was 350% mare than the previous one for the same services. On 03/28/2022, I was called by the billing office. I was told that my deductible had not been met. Davis Vision has no deductible. They pay $100. I was then told because I had cataracts Davis Vision would not cover the eye exam. They covered the exam last year when I said that I wanted the cataracts checked. No answer. I asked what the other $30. was for. No answer. I was told to pay the bill. I said that I would pay the same amount that I did last year - $50 and report them to the Better Business Bureau. IF I HAD BEEN INFORMED THAT DAVIS VISION WAS NOT ACCEPTED ANYMORE, I WOULD HAVE SOUGHT ANOTHER PROVIDER. I WAS NOT INFORMED. I am seeking your assistance in this matter. I am paying the $50. Help.
