I contracted Over The Top Tree Care back in June of 2021 to remove approx 10 -12 large pine trees from property on Doe Run. The initial work was completed with the exception of one large pine tree. I tried to get a firm date from the company to return,and over the next several months was given many excuses why they could not schedule the remaining work. One being the sub contactor they use to climb the trees to top off was injured or ill and able to get back on the schedule. Finally I contacted the company and settled with them ,allowing them to cut down and remove one smaller leaning tree on the property in lie of the large pine tree. They accepted. I also requested for a additional cost to chip up 3 piles of debris that I collected over the property. Upon arrival , they gave me the cost of an additional $500.00 to chip up the debris piles. During the course of the day I expierenced many issues with the crew ,mainly the driving of the high reach bucket truck into the property ,getting it stuck in the soft soil which I had to assist in removing using my equipment and truck. After that they drove another truck into the same area and this vehicle also got stuck in the soft soil .I towed this vehicle out also. .Later the chipper broke down. This left the large tree still remaining on the property as well as the remaining debris pile. The crew indicated they would send someone back out to remove the tree as well as the debris. Two weeks went by ,and I was never contacted for a return date ,and due to grading work scheduled on my property ,and based on the track record of the previous work,I took it opon myself to cut up the tree,load it on my trailer as well as the remaining debris ,and haul to the landfill/transfer station. I emailed the company represenitive ,only asking for the $ 192.95 landfill costs ,and was told it isn't their responsibility. I am not asking for the 8 hours of labor it took to finish the work ,just to be reimbursed for the landfill costs.
