onsumer Complaint vs Ron and ****** ******* **** ***** **** **** * ***** **** ******** ** *****  RE: 2006 Mercedes Benz ML350 On September 12, 2022; I purchased a 2006 VIN # 4JGBB86EX6A103431 at East Coast Auto 2834 W Stein Hwy, Seaford, DE 19973. I explained to the owner that I was looking for a reliable used car for my elderly mother. I put a $2k deposit on an $8k purchase. It was about 3 weeks later I called about the car I put a deposit on, since I hadn't heard from him. He said that he couldn't find my phone number...which was clearlon front of the purchase folder!! He assured me that he would get his mechanic to inspect the car before I sealed the deal. I asked him for a copy of the mechanic's report and he said, "ohhh he looked the care over and EVERYTHING was fine. " Unfortunately, the used car WASN'T fine; nor has it performed well since the very first day I drove away from the dealership. The car was driven to Salisbury for a date night. On the RETURN BACK...the warning light was reading hood open while driving 60 mph. We pulled over to check the front hood and it was secure. I continued down the road and the warning light blinked and beeped for over 20 miles. I called Ron Johnson and asked to return the car to him that night for a refund. After some hesitation, he agreed to have the vehicle towed to Salisbury Pohanka costing approximately $175.00. I spoke with the service manager at the Pohanka Mercedes Dealership; he suggested that I return the vehicle and get my money back as well. I called the Mercedes Benz manufacturer. I gave them the VIN and found that their was a recall on this vehicle. I fact...the advisory was to cease to driving immediately!!! ?? East Coast Auto did pay for the diagnostic test and the door sensor repair. It cost approximately $350.00 So, I picked the car up from East Coast Auto and he handed over the keys.
