Terrible experience. Worse case scenario you have to use this company stay away from the technician name Scott. He is not only lack of experience and has no manner. Start up with looking at my leaking furnace and said" he can't do anything because the weather outside is cold that he couldn't test the furnace for leak and want to leave?? " I have twenty years of experience and the furnace seem nothing wrong..." I have to start an argument then I turned on the unit anyway doesn't take long the furnace start to leak and he said maybe it block on condensate pipe, then check the pipe nothing block and he said maybe the pan crack.... without check the coil... cover all it is the worst experience ever so the company when I call to complaint they said there's no thing we can do because the technician was at the job side not us?? are they supposed to work as a team? I have the warranty company for years and has no problem after he finished the diagnostic he state very clear that the insurance will cover a partial amount the rest will be out of my pocket...but he did it a nonhuman way and very personal stating exiting condition...I have to call the insurance and they have the second company come out and now they are working on repair my unit. The only reason I post this review is to make sure for those have to work with this company be prepared for the worse. This company is racist he came to my House lied and took apart my system and did not put it back together already reported them to ahs and have pictures to show what this man did. Horrible company racist company and ahs should not deal with them they need to remove them.Review from Ron S

The technician was at my home today and he was miserable and disinterested. I asked him to seal a leak in the furnace and he stated that he didn’t have any silicone on his truck. I really hope that your other technicians are more professionalMason Mechanical LLC Response

I’m sorry our service techs do not carry silicone as we do not use silicone to seal ductwork. And the technician did put some tape on your ductwork that you tore off.Review from Adrian C

Bad business practices. Mason Mechanical LLC is one of the contractor for American Home Shield (AHS). Contractor from Mason Mechanical LLC is unprofessional, and dishonest. The contractor looked at the issue, made no attempt to fix the problem, then reported to AHS the item is a non-covered cost. This is a ploy to have AHS customer pay additional cost directly to the contracting company. This is dishonest and unfair to AHS customers. All AHS customers beware of this contractor and always review your AHS contract for coverage.Review from Dwayne R

Wish I could give no stars because he doesnt deserve one. Scott and Mason Mechanical are poor representation of a small business. Scott returned to my home to help turn on my furnace after being here couple of days before. After he left the furnace went off again so I gave his company a call when he reported to me "You are not a customer of Mason Mechanical, you are the customer of home warranty company, and I dont need to service you. So based on my diagnosis, you can call another company to make a service call to see whats wrong." He made sure he was not going to help our family and leave us in the cold. As I went on to speak with him, he showed that he didnt care about our present situation and was not going to make any concessions to help us. This business owner does not care about his customers or anyone he services and this is evident by his business practices. He is a horrible asset to the community and hope his business license is denied and he is shut down to operate here in the Delaware region. One of the rudest and unprofessional people that I have met in my entire life. If anyone is proud of him and this business, they need to rethink their commitment and association. As the gentleman stated, he did not hire Mason mechanical and did not pay Mason Mechanical a single cent. I gave the homeowner a timeframe when we could come back to fix any issues he may be having, but the homeowner was unsatisfied with our current time frame, as we are very busy And I stated he may want to contact a local company to see if he can get heat to his home ASAP. The homeowners current furnace was not installed by us and is extremely poorly installed and has many issues as the homeowner knows.Review from Florance M.

I highly do not recommend this company nor Scott. I paid my 100.00 through American Home Shield for a claim on my gas furnace. Scott is one of their contractors in this area. He told me that I would not get any paperwork. He sends that to American Home Shield and “good luck getting it from them”. He wasn’t very friendly or helpful. I received his quote through American Home Shield later that afternoon for 26,350.00 for a replacement gas furnace. I don’t even see an air conditioning unit in that quote! Any HVAC person know they are linked together. I’ve been working on quotes and the highest quote I’ve gotten was 12,036.00 for a gas furnace, air, digging out around my crawl space and repairing the driveway. If another local company can do it for that price he can to! American Home Shield pays him to write the reports that way, clearly. Do not use this company. It’s similar to going to a ime dr for an insurance company who is writing most of their letters for the insurance companies. I plan on filing a report to the BBB as well as the attorney general’s office in DelawareMason Mechanical LLC Response

This customer is not a Mason Mechanical customer. This customer did not contact Mason mechanical directly and also did not pay Mason mechanical in any shape or form.. Mason mechanical was sent to the customers home through a home warranty company. If she has any complaints, she should address it with them not Mason mechanical.Customer Response

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! The person they sent to my home was Scott I can’t even call him a technician. I could not believe how rude, arrogant, and racist he was. He damaged my property and refused to put it back. He ripped up my air filter and called me a liar. I literally had to put him out of my home after he told me “don’t be surprised when your warranty company denies you,”. Then he sent a false assessment of my property to the insurance company. WORST COMPANY EVER. Good thing my insurance company seen through his foolishness. Oh yea I had to put 1 star but it is really ZERO STARS!Mason Mechanical LLC Response

This customer did not hire Mason mechanical to do a job. They hired a home warranty company and Mason mechanical went out through the home warranty company, following the home warranty companies guidelines.Review from Barbara B

I would not recommend this company. The customer service is Horrible. From the beginning of the appointment, Scott (Technician) was very rude. He walked in, and did not even ask or attempt to cover his dirty shoes. Then he turned on my heat pump, then said, "It's on. So what's your problem?" It went down hill from there. I attempted to discuss the problems I had been having with my heat pump for the last few years. Yearly maintenance and freon refills were no longer working. The system is over 25 years old, so its clearly on it's last leg. After explaining this he says "Well did you ever think that it's time to replace it?" Of course I have! That's why I called your company for an appointment. His tone and attitude was very disrespectful. Then he says, "Its low 2 lbs of freon". Then he just starts packing up his gear and walking towards the door. No card. No brochure. No paperwork. No sit down at the table to discuss his findings and a proposed solution. Nothing but complete rudeness. He was literally walking out of the door while I was still trying to ask questions to see what the next steps will be. Then he stands in my front door with the door wide open and says I'll write it up and send it to the warranty company. I'm standing there thinking....write what up? We didn't even discuss anything! So I asked him if he could come back inside so we can sit down at the table to discuss his evaluation and the next steps. He tells me I can come outside and talk to him if I want to. At this point I was totally shocked and confused that this is the person representing this company, and this is how they treat their customers. I declined to walk outside in the hot sun to finish a service appointment that should have been completed inside by a professional. I would never pay money to be treated this way. Needless to say, I would never recommend this company to any of my family, friends, or real estate associates.Review from Monica W
