I spoke with HHP in 2019 about how I wanted my car to sound. After much discussion, I took the recommendation to have a Custom Limiter Cam installed. I paid $6k to have it installed in December 2019. At the time of install, it sounded good. In March 2022 I paid $12k to have a new supercharger installed. As part of the install, they had to update the tune. As soon as I picked up my vehicle, it sounded 'off' - like it didn't have a cam. I notified HHP and they said there 'might be something they can do'. After nagging them for available times, I had to take a day off (8/1/22) to bring my car to the shop for the owner to work on it. I got there at 10am. They had to call the owner because he wasn't there, and he finally arrived around noon. He was all over (clearly not focusing on my vehicle), and I heard him joking about 'the car that won't lope' (my car). I didn't leave until 4pm. At the time I left, it still didn't sound right. The owner knew it but said it was the best he could do. Additionally, I am currently running SLOWER with the new supercharger/tune than on stock. I have been harassing the shop to get a new tune to fix the performance and even drove 7 hours roundtrip to Maryland International Raceway just to accommodate the owner's schedule and get trackside support. Unfortunately, that was a wasted effort – I showed up at 7:45am and he didn’t arrive until 3:15pm. He was able to get one revised tune that did not help and the day was over. His solution was that I get a hotel room and go to Walmart to get supplies so I could stay overnight and get assistance from him the next morning. The complete lack of regard for my time and investment is borderline offensive. I've spent over $35k with HHP because I’ve trusted them to stand by their work and recommendations. I should not have to harass them to get the level of quality out of the vehicle that I paid for. I’ve expressed my frustration multiple times and no one seems to care.
