I am an advisor with BCM Wealth Management, we recently received an email from ***** ***** indicating that she had filed a complaint with your office. Unfortunately the emails sent from your office were filtered to junk mail and we didn’t see them until today. I wanted to reach out to you to provide you with information regarding the status of *****’s account with us. ***** ***** has an investment account which was managed by our firm since 2017 . During March of 2024, we became concerned that ***** was being targeted for financial fraud or may be under some type of financial duress due to unusual communications from ***** and repeated contacts from a gold dealer which she discovered online. As fiduciaries to our clients, we are required to report suspected fraud or abuse, so we contacted the Pennsylvania Department of Banking- Consumer Services Division for guidance as to how to proceed. The Pennsylvania Department of Banking directed us to report the situation to the Delaware County Office of Services for the Aging – Adult Protective Services. Based upon the information provided to Protective Services, an investigation was opened. An investigator from Protective Services met with ***** on March 19, 2024 and requested that a hold be placed on *****’s account pending the completion of their investigation.  The investigation is ongoing and we received an email May 29, 2024 asking us to continue to maintain the hold on *****’s account until further notice from Protective Services. The investigator on the case is ******* ****** ****** *************************). At this time we are unable to process any transaction requests from ***** without the approval of Protective Services.

We received notice from the Delaware County Office of Services for the Aging - Adult Protective Services that they concluded their investigation of the client late in the afternoon on June 13, 2024 and authorized us to lift the transaction hold on the client's account. We lifted the hold and notified the client promptly on the morning of June 14, 2024 that she may transfer or distribute her account according to her wishes now that the state has lifted the hold request. We also provided her with instructions and account information to assist her with the transaction. To date, she has not taken any action to move or distribute her investment account but may do so at any time at her discretion by contacting the asset custodian.
