      All they want is to steal your money!! They cancelled my trip because my other roommates canceled theirs but they FAILED to inform me about that therefore putting my spot in jeopardy. They tried to blame it on me and only offered me a $800 refund when I paid well over 1k. DONT BOOK THIS SCAM

      HORRIBLE! AVOID AVOID AVOID! My son was promised by the sales rep (we have proof) that there was no risk and that money was refundable. He signed up and was excited to go but due to unforeseen circumstance, he cannot go. Breakaway Beach/GradCity doesn't honor anything their sales rep says, saying they cannot control the information provided. He is out over $400. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Warn your Senior to read these reviews. It's a scam and they are praying to the young victims they target. They allow under age kids to sign up with empty promises.

      Dear Mun, We apologize for any misunderstanding or confusion with the terms of our packages. Our flyers explicitly state that all cancellations are subject to our policies. These terms and policies are highlighted during our registration process prior to signing up and must be agreed to prior to depositing and joining a Breakaway Beach trip. Once we release our promotional materials to groups, it's challenging to monitor their distribution. That's why we ensure all pertinent information about rates, fees, deadlines, and other trip details are clearly outlined on the flyers, online, and in customer portals. Our records show your son's account had less than $400 paid at the time of cancellation. If you had any questions or concerns during the sign-up process, when making payments, or at any time, our team is available via email and phone to answer any questions.       I have been in a dispute with Breakaway Beach/GradCity since October 11, 2022. Our initial communication with them had been through GradCity and even the email communication was @gradcity.com. I had gone on to their website and looked at their cancellation policy and it stated that if we cancelled more than 121 days prior to final payment due date, all money would be refunded less $300. I asked to cancel and understood all would be refunded minus $300. Their reply to me stated that although we booked through GradCity they have begun to merge with Breakaway Beach and now we are under their policies and nothing is refundable. I have emails, including screen shots of their refund policy, as well as where we login showing its under GradCity, and our initial contract showing we were with GradCity. To no avail and 20 emails later with no solution, the only solution they can give me is to sell my trip to another student. The school doesn't sponsor it so the only person to communicate with is a high school senior and they aren't responding to her either. If I made a contract with GradCity those terms and conditions should be honored. According to them I am now out well over $1000, this is a shady company that doesn't honor their original contracts.

      Worst company I have every seen. My senior trip consisted of 43 18 year olds and we had a layover from punta Cana in Philadelphia. Our flight got cancelled and currently we r all going to sleep on the streets and starve cause they left us all stranded with no help. Also American Airlines sucks for not letting us sleep in a gate. So to breakaway I hope u all go out of business cause u screwed us all

Unfortunately, American Airlines did cancel your group's flight which sadly was out of our control. As soon as we were informed of the cancellation our team was diligently working with American Airlines to find a solution to get our travelers home safely. We were extremely disappointed when American Airlines decided to not provide any hotel or food vouchers for your group. As soon as we were advised that no vouchers were being provided by the airline our team worked as quickly as possible to book our own accommodations for your group to ensure none of our travelers were left any longer at the airport. As soon as we were able to book accommodations for your group at Embassy Suites Philadelphia Airport (9000 Bartram Avenue Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19153, USA) we communicated this to the group. We also arranged for hotel shuttles. Any travelers that paid out of pocket for taxis to the hotel have been reimbursed. Again, we apologize for this unfortunate situation, our team has been trying our best to navigate through the current delays and cancellations happening at many of the airports we travel through.       There is NO refund - even though you don't know the date and they have yet to book tickets. 0 refund. I paid $100 for 5 months in a row and the big chuck came AFTER I cancelled. total 1587. They gave me back my 1,087 but held my 100 x 5. Not okay. thankfully I paid with my black card AMEX. AMEX is the BEST. They guarantee you won't get screwed over or shafted. Get the card. It's so worth it! Time and money protecting kids from this.
