I contracted with House Craft Homes LLC to build my home. They did not finish by the completion date which was 9/2022 and currently (1/22/23) are still not finished. My house sat untouched for almost 5 months. The contractor **** * ********** will not return calls/text or email and ********* ********** will only communicate through email. My contract was not honored for my flooring. They are not paying sub-contractors so many items are partially finished in my home. My shower, cabinets and framing is still incomplete. The exterior doors are not I installed correctly and one is broken. There has not been anyone here to complete work in over a month. I am currently owed just over $7500 for items we had to purchase for the home that the contractor would not honor from the contract. I’m also had to pay an additional $4500 in bank fees because the home wasn’t finished on time. These fees continue to increase each month the house isn’t finished. I have over 100 emails showing the issues we have had with this contractor.Business response

In answer to *** ******** complaint, I am atttaching a copy of her contract. Please note the following numbers:
6. Completion date - caused by Covid and shortage of materials and subcontractors.
7. Material substituions - Gave her total flooring credit since we were unable to get her flooring done as quickly as she wanted it.
9 She changed the plan and didn't pay the $250.00 from carpet in the bedrooms to laminate flooring.
34. There was a code change on the a/c system and she will be billed that amount as soon as received from a/c subcontractor, approximately $1,300.00. to upgrade the system (Florida code).
36. Possession - Ms. ****** wants to move in pror to closing on her loan and our final payment. There is a charge for rent in the amount of $1,500.00 per month until closing. I am sorry, but Ms. ****** has so many emails that it takes up quite a bit of secretaril time and a longer time to answer. Somtimes 8 - 9 emails per day.
If you require any additional information, please contact me at this email.
Sincerely,

Ms. ****** stated that she wanted to move in when we received the CO. However, our contract states that we have to be paid in full before taking possession.
Contractor has been there numerous times. I am sorry that Ms. ****** didn't have a camera set up. Then she would've been able to make a correct statement.
Ms. ****** was not forced into purchasing her floor. She did not want to wait for our flooring. Therefore we gave her a full credit so she could purchase her own.
As to the Covid, this could not be prevented. Subcontractors were willing to work, but materials became scarce and for some unavailabe. When materials became more available, the subcontractors were so backed up that the jobs dragged from one to one. They could only do what they could do.
Ms. ****** does not understand that we have had to pay higher prices and lose money on her home. We have both suffered losses. I believe she is upset because of her extension fees on her loan. Her mortage representative and our salesman have explained to her about the delays and about the fees. WeTell us why here...

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: There will be no solution I am sure to this issue until we have completed our home. As far as the complaint is concerned I just want it noted so others do not run into the same issues we are having. We would like to move in once we get the CO of course, per the contract we will not. It would be nice for House Craft to allow us to do so since they did not complete our home by the deadline listed in the contract. The 270 days was up on Sept. 12, 2022 so we are currently 6 months past this time. I can show emails regarding the flooring. It had nothing to do with the wait time for it and everything to do with not honoring Core-Tech which was the brand in their showroom and on our contract. As for the number of emails if all questions were answered when sent by email the first time I would not have to respond to the incomplete emails. Again I just want my house finished.
Regards,
***** ******
