Additional Information for L & L Woodworks, LLC

In July 2022, BBB contacted L & L Woodworks regarding claims in its advertising.

Its website includes the statement "Customer Satisfaction Guaranteed."  According to the BBB Code of Advertising, advertisers should only use “satisfaction guarantee” or similar representations in advertising if the seller refunds the full purchase price of the advertised product or service at the consumer's request.  When “satisfaction guarantee” is used in advertising, any material limitations or conditions that apply to the guarantee must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed.  BBB requested that the business add the details of its guarantee wherever it is advertised but did not receive a response.

The claims "GUARANTEED LOW PRICES!" and "WE MEET OR BEAT COMPETITOR'S PRICES!!" also appear on its website.  Advertisements which set out company policy of matching or bettering competitors' prices may be used, provided that  the offer is made in good faith; the offer clearly and conspicuously discloses fully any material and significant conditions which apply including, if applicable, what evidence a consumer must present to take advantage of the offer; and the terms of the offer are not unrealistic or unreasonable for the consumer.  The business did not respond to BBB or add these details to its advertising.

Its Facebook page states "We provide a FULL LINE of ALL-WOOD CABINETS at WHOLESALE PRICES - as well as Custom Counter Tops to suit your need and your style for your new project."  The term “wholesale prices,” can be used where they are the current prices which retailers usually and customarily pay when they buy such products for resale or are comparable to those charged by wholesalers in its trade area.  BBB requested that the business provide substantiation for this claim but did not receive a reply.
