I was a little skeptical about going with this company based on their ratings. however, I asked the owner about double bookings and she said it wasn't an issue. I booked the combo gaming truck /gellyball package and paid my $120 deposit 12/5/22 on a $500 pkg. I reached out to the owner this morning 1/8/23 to find out what time they would be coming for the party I booked for today and she informed me that their gaming truck was vandalized and burglarized over the holidays. I was shocked to hear this the day of the party. I asked her why she didn't contact me when this happened and she said she didn't realize I booked the truck for today-an indication of lack of business skills. She asked if i still wanted them to come with the paintball and I said yes because I paid the deposit. She didnt offer sny resolution about the lack of ganing truck. I asked if she knew if other companies and she said no. Her son arrived at the start of the party and said it would take 30 min to setup. this let me know they truly did not feel sorry about not notifying ahead of time about the truck because if they did, they would have arrived the 30 min before the start of the party to have it setup for when the party starts. I was lucky enough to find another gaming truck that was able to come the same day for $480. Of course this meant more money than originally budgeted for since 2fly did not have the truck as agreed. at the end of the party, her son asked for payment. I told him that I wasn't paying anything in addition to the deposit I already paid due the inconvenience and additional money I had to pay. I told him he could calm his mother and he did. I told her the same thing I told him and she said she would take me to small claims court. I said fine and handed the phone back to her son. we were cleaning up and I noticed that he was still there. he came up to me again *** asked about the money and I reiterated that I wasn't giving him anymore money and I would deal with his mom in small claims court. I went inside the house and came back out to see my husband and her son both trying to get our speaker. he decided to take that as payment. I told my husband to just let go of the speaker bc it wasn't worth it. her son said thanks for the payment and drove off. after this happened I received an updated invoice for the paintball only. I intentionally sought out a black owned business as I always do but I would never recommend this company to anyone. they are unprofessional and the behavior of her son ruined what was otherwise a successful party despite her not providing the truck. I didn't have a problem settling this in small claims court, but no business owner should condone this type of behavior from an employee. Business response

      01/24/2023

On 1/8/2023 I received a phone call from the customer asking about the arrival time for her party. At the time I informed the customer that our gaming truck was vandalized two days prior unfortunately I would not be able to do the game truck but we could still provide the other services (Gellyball). The original service was booked for three hours, our Gellyball only runs for two hours. At this time I apologized to the client for the inconvenience of not informing her of the situation in a timely manner as we had been very busy dealing with the loss, the police investigation, insurance company. I offered to refund her the $120 deposit which shouldve been done and just canceled. We wanted to provide our services in good faith even through we were dealing with a huge loss. The customer insisted she still wanted the service which we were happy to provide.  After the conversation my son called her to inquire about a new time frame since the party would no longer be three hours and gave his eta. The arrival time was agreed upon with set up time. After the two hour event was over my son asked for the final payment to be made in which at this time the client says Im not paying the balance. Once again that was not the verbal agreement. My son called me to explain the situation once I spoke to the customer I said Ill see you in small claims court. The next thing I know the customer is bashing my business on social media, reviews etc. saying my son stole a speaker. The client did not call me with this information or file a police report. The first time I heard of this nonsense about a speaker was in a review. This customer is dead wrong for her actions and wanting services for free. After reviewing her reviews of other businesses Ive come to find out that this is something she does. She has 30 reviews on small black owned businesses in which 27 of them are of her complaining wanting some kind of service for free or discounted. The husband was willing to pay the balance as he said they had an awesome time, the kids enjoyed the Gellyball more than the game truck. Even posed for pictures with have been submitted.
