I purchased a GE washer & dryer set from Sonny's Appliance TV Warehouse on 03/29/21 with a 1 year warranty. Since my purchase I have had multiple issues with both the washer and dryer. Every time I contact Sonny's they route me to GE Appliances to schedule a technician to come out. I have had 5 techs come to my home. They all place blame on me and say things like, "This washing machine is not meant for washing towels," or "You aren't using fabric softner so that's the issue". All things that don't make sense. The washing machine doesn't always spin the water out of the clothes so they are soaking wet when they go into the dryer. The washing machine hops really really bad and makes a lot of noise in general. It sounds like it is trying to come through the wall. The dryer makes a high pitch squeaking noise. Instead of replacing the washer they just replace little parts at a time. The last tech was an consultant outside of GE. He explained that the techs have been marking inside the washer where things are broken and out of balance and not telling me the truth so they don't have to come out and replace it. I have been waiting for someone to come fix the drum of my washer since 01/04/22. I have been unable to wash my clothes. GE keeps saying they mailed me the parts or the consultant but no one has the parts. My washer and dryer are fully paid and under warranty but they refuse to replace the washing machine and Sonny's refuses to refund or replace the appliances as well. Since I bought the appliances from Sonny's they should replace the appliances. I feel like I was ripped off and wonder if the techs are dishonest because I am a woman. It wasn't until the last visit when I had a male friend over for support that I received real answers. I will never buy a GE appliance again. I haven't had the set a year and I've had so many issues and I have been treated unfairly. I just want my washing machine replace. The one I have is clearly defective.
